@Luellen1M There is a better way than placing your faith in Catholic authority. Follow Jesus Christ. Worship Jesus, not a pope. Test every teaching against Scripture, and never allow any man to stand where only Christ belongs.
@Luellen1M I say this with compassion: this is hitting you so hard because you gave a pope authority over your conscience that belongs only to Christ. Pope Francis was a fallible man. His words were never the voice of God.
@justalexoki These were likely not toddlers joking about baldness. The Hebrew can describe youths or young men. At least 42 came out of idolatrous Bethel as a hostile group, chanting for God’s prophet to “go up” like Elijah. This was organized contempt and intimidation, not innocent teasing.
@tlcpastormac@Protestia Was John the Baptist supposed to schedule a private meeting with Herod first? Public sin by a public leader is not always a Matthew 18 issue.
@Akajohnssmith@PlumblineFaith Would you say there comes a point when faith matures into assurance? Through prayer and relationship, God’s faithfulness stops feeling theoretical. As Paul said, in 2 Timothy 1:12 “I know whom I have believed.”
