Great read. There is no better pricing tool than the free market. Secondaries drive price discovery in real-time. When promoters/artists prevent resale, not only do they risk weakened demand, they know very little about optimal pricing.
Primaries and promoters are going to see a major change in fan behavior, as they foolishly think they can scalp all #tickets in the building at prices only a small percentage of fans are willing to pay.
Here are the changes I expect:

@concertleaks waitlist opening is an indicator of aggressively priced platinum imo. need to get more buyers to the table to unload the inventory. resellers are not biting on top tier. could mean more about the economy than @oliviarodrigo
@TheFestiveOwl@BlueRidgeRock It is becoming increasingly difficult to determine what is a fraud/griff and what is a seemingly well-intentioned festival in a uncontrollable scenario.
@garrettnolan Almost has gaslighty as ticketmaster/live nation proposing the "Boss & Swift" act. None of this is for the consumer, its for corporations to build moats.
@mjguff@RichReising could also be..
1. promoter price research. Put up some inventory at various levels to determine demand at various price levels so they can price platinum appropriately.
2. reseller checking demand to see how much $$ they want to put to work
Felt appropriate to post this on Labor Day. Here are the merch cuts being taken by the venues on this upcoming tour. This is going to cause us to sell our merch for higher prices than we'd like to at certain venues. We think that sucks. 1/
It looks like @ticketmaster has turned off the uppers for the ohio @drake show. This was a 2nd show added. Friday they were all blue. Lets see what 3rd party site these land on. Pricing matters. Turns out $400 is too high for lower bowl tickets...
This show was at 4,500 sold out of 20,000 when you pulled it. The fact is you priced out the resellers who were bag holding your inventory in oklahoma and texas. @ticketmaster is not perfect, but the pricing was your choice. @tptroubadours@Ticket_Help2022@UnderFaceValue
