Put your morning coffee down. Tom Leach’s radio broadcast call of the game-winning play is everything you need to get you JACKED UP for the start of the day.
My final story for the Herald-Leader details Kentucky senior guard Asia Boone’s return to flying, and how the connected world of @KentuckyWBB brought it back to her.

There hasn't been a high school sports story posted on the @heraldleader website since Sept. 10. Not one score posted from Friday night football action. This is not schadenfreude from me. This is disgust. What a disservice to the community.

He has accomplished all this and more being face guarded and double teamed night in and night out even as an 8th grader where he led his team in scoring starting varsity at such a young age. He has a Kentucky legacy running through his veins and will work extra hard to rep his state and his family ❤️🏀
Dear Muslims,
Japanese people do not hate Muslims simply for being Muslim.
We have no interest in Muslims living ordinary lives in other countries, and if they aren’t doing anything wrong, we have nothing to say about them.
The problem is people who come to Japan and disregard Japanese laws and social norms.
Your faith is your freedom. But if you choose to live in Japan, please respect and adapt to Japanese society as well.
That’s all. Make sure you remember that.
One of the biggest problems in MS bball. Coaches allow bad attitudes in order to win a game. They fail to teach them more than bball. It’s not all coaches but there are some of these coaches out there. I will lose in order to teach a kid to do the right thing.
