i support hockey in southern markets, it just makes me a bit sad that canada doesn't get a couple more teams. nhl saskatoon and halifax are real in my heart.
Our government is raising speed limits to help get drivers where they need to go faster and safely.
Β
Starting June 26, 2026, the speed limit will increase from 100km/hour to 110km/hour on sections of Highways 401 and 416 in eastern Ontario.

A measured approach, a willingness to hear and learn and own initial lack of information/perspective, valid points kept in play.
Wasn't sure this was still allowed in hockey, but it's much appreciated when it shows up π
After conversations with some Canadians IοΏ½οΏ½ve decided to walk back my comments about booβing the anthem as I now agree that it was an acceptable display of symbolism in a time where Canadians felt unjustifiably targeted.
Thanks for helping me get there.
I still think the hockey sphere and its fans (no matter nationality) should reflect a bit though.
I saw some deplorable stuff from βfansβ on all sides - often directed at fellow country men not just at other countries & players.
All Iβm saying is itβs getting out of hand.
At Ford Fest the police presence just got heavier.
From Toronto police to the OPP.
This is a heavy contingent of police, keeping people away from the Premier.
Unsure whether they are responding to a threat.

Hopefully the Toronto Liberal MPs are paying attention to the absolute folly of this "plan". Imagine creating the largest, most permanent visual reminder possible that their voters don't matter...and then expect us to forget. @JulieDzerowicz
Premier @fordnationβs push to dramatically expand Billy Bishop airport for jets looks more unlikely by the day to get federal approval, writes Adam Radwanski. Fordβs βbull meets China shopβ approach appears to have derailed the plan https://t.co/Ps35MXjkVI
Hockey Night in Canada on CBC is the eighth longest running TV show in THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD at 72 seasons.
Add in radio, and it's been a Saturday night fixture for families on CBC for 90 years.
There has never been a Canadian cultural institution like it, and there never will be again.

#BREAKING: Hockey Night in Canada will no longer air on CBC after the current season, ending a tradition that has been on Canadian TV since 1952. Sportsnet and CBC announced the end of their 12-year NHL partnership. πΊ π¨π¦
Thereβs something special about walking into a Scholastic Book Fair.
The excitement of finding the perfect book never gets old. Visiting Nokiidaa Public School brought back memories of circling wish-list books. Some things havenβt changed and neither has the power of a good book.
@GuiNSantos@kevnrsa@nelybritoo I'm a Torontonian just trying to get to work, but I'm happy for everyone who's into it. Sucks the weather isn't cooperating.
Also I had no idea we had such a large Bosnian diaspora going on here, so I'll credit some learning to this tournament and I can appreciate that.
@GuiNSantos@kevnrsa@nelybritoo Not as big here but growing so its fun. Hockey, we're all in the Maple Leaf/schools show games etc. Still watch highlights from the last Olympics we hosted. T.O. as the most diverse city on Earth=ppl are excited, but segmented. LOT of jerseys around, just all different colours π
