And to chairman Allan Currie for negotiating our return to Hamilton.
Whatever league we are in next season this is a fresh start under new owners & the rebuild begins here.
WAH.
This is brilliant news for all Accies fans & the wider community that we will be returning to NDP next season.
Huge credit has to go to the current ASA committee for their initial work that helped facilitate Rob Edwards / MSM taking control of the club... 1/2
I'm assured her team will chase with Royal Mail why this has happened & hopefully they find a quick resolution.
I've been advised I will be kept updated. 2/2
To say I'm annoyed at Royal Mail abruptly closing the postbox inside Whitehill Neighbourhood Centre again at approx 1pm this afternoon is an understatement.
I've spoken to residents/hall staff & contacted SLLC CEO Kay Morrison to re-raise this issue urgently - 1/2
The First Market of 2025 organised by @HamiltonOurTown will be on Saturday 1st February at the Regent Shopping Centre from 10am onwards.
Please come along and support all the local vendors and Hamilton businesses

My thanks go to SLLC staff for working with Royal Mail on this issue after I was forced to raise it with them to chase further with Royal Mail for a resolution after bare minimum & ineffectual action from our local Labour MP on a reserved issue. 2/2
Very pleased that after discussions between SLLC & Royal Mail that the postbox inside Whitehill Neighbourhood Centre was reinstated as of Wednesday 15th January after being closed for approx 5 months - with collections from the postbox now restored for residents Mon-Fri. 1/2
Residents in Whitehill are rightly dismayed that the only postbox in the whole area was closed abruptly with no consultation or notice by Royal Mail a few months ago.
RM stated reason was access issues, so I raised with SLLC as the operator of Whitehill Neighbourhood Centre. 1/2
All bin collections are cancelled in South Lanarkshire tomorrow, Friday 24 January, due to the Red weather warning.
Do NOT present any bin due to be collected tomorrow. We will advise when we will be able to catch up on collections.
Staff and pupils should not travel to these establishments tomorrow.
Arrangements will be made to support continued learning for pupils where possible using appropriate resources, including the use of digital platforms.
Weather Warning – schools closure
Due to the Red weather warning issued for much of Scotland, including South Lanarkshire, the decision has been taken to close all our schools and nurseries tomorrow, Friday 24 January 2025.
⛔️Storm Éowyn ⛔️
With the safety of customers and staff of paramount importance, we will not be safe to operate passenger services due to the forecast weather conditions across Scotland during #StormÉowyn.
All ScotRail services are suspended on Friday, 24 January.
We strongly advise you not to travel, as there will be no train services, and no alternative transport will be available.
The Met Office issued an upgraded red warning for Storm Éowyn, which is expected to arrive in Scotland in the morning on Friday, 24 January, bringing extremely high winds, with gusts reaching 100mph in some parts.
The red warning will be in place from 10.00 to 17.00 and covers central Scotland, Tayside, Fife, south west Scotland, Lothian, Borders, and Strathclyde. There is also an amber warning for wind across the rest of the country and a yellow warning for snow covering much of the highlands.
This could lead to trees and other debris falling onto the tracks, trapping trains and putting people in danger. It can also impact service recovery times due to poor road and driving conditions.
Once the warnings pass, the network will have to undergo safety inspections before services can be reintroduced.
Please check the ScotRail website or app before travelling on Saturday morning.
Tickets for travel dated 24 January can now be used from Thursday, 23 January, up to and including Tuesday, 28 January. This means that these can be used before or after the date printed on the ticket.

An internal team within SLLC are in discussions with Royal Mail regarding this issue - and I'm awaiting the outcome of those discussions.
However in the meantime please sign the petition raised by local Whitehill resident Donna McAllister & share.
