Just because it's officially summer, that doesn't "mean" we aren't having some math fun with patterns this morning (sorry, I couldn't resist)! Thank you to our partners at Richards Middle School and the Rainey-McCuller's School of the Arts.
We have often advocated creating "friendly" numbers when subtracting (respecting the distance between numbers.) This is a cool way to think of it using fractions. - Thanks!
@MrCorleyMath @thinkingclssrms I found myself using the divisibility rule for three.
Once confirming it is evenly divisible by 3.
I proceeded to divide the number by 3.
Check out the latest Notes 2 Nerds! It has suggestions for your summer reading from our CRMC Resource Director and Specialists, and even scrolling suggestions from CRMC Specialist, Carlie Oelke. There is so much more to see! Don't miss it! π
