@alysbun Cecile’s interview said she did this in less than a year. She had dinner with her and said she wanted to see what she could do then returned like fully after her wedding!
@Yarotska101@TheMedalCount_ I sucked at bars, but fly was my best swim event. I swam competitively for 10 yrs, but quit when I started losing cause I couldn't make up the distance I lost off the blocks. I was 14 and 4'9" waiting for puberty to hit, competing against girls who were almost a foot taller 🙄
@GymCastic to present to the judges because there are different flights so the modified capital cup warm up compete makes the presentation before each rotation a moot point.
@GymCastic Regarding lining up in front of judges, in our competitions, not elite, the judges generally introduce themselves and just give the athletes words of encouragement and ask for names just to get things in order. Also, at larger competitions, there isn’t time or opportunity
@mdjds_fan her right leg was slightly in front of her left (or maybe just absorbed the landing slightly differently on the 4-incher) and I wonder if one judge took is as a slide?
I just got result 'Morgan Hurd' on quiz 'What NCAA gymnast are you most like?'. What will you get? https://t.co/VX9pdh6b3J via @uquiz
Never been more proud of a result in my life @morgihurd
@USAGYMFAN11@theblackestdae Drills on drills on drills rather than just teaching the skill. Hill probably broke down each part of the skill and has specific drills for each - tap, release, rotation, twist.
@of_snoop @gimternet @ChilesJordan I thought the same thing! All week, she's been just as happy for the other competitors as she has been for herself. She's an amazing representative for this sport.
