On Friday, @HSELive published the 2023-2024 Annual Report for @UHW_Waterford South East Cancer Services, highlighting the continued focus on providing safe, high-quality care to patients in Waterford, Wexford, South Tipperary and Carlow/Kilkenny.
The HSE new RSV immunisation programme has protected nearly 12.5K infants so far this year. Since Sept 1st, almost 95% reduction in hospitalisations in target group of infants compared to last year and > 90% reduction in ICU admissions. Comhgairdeas leis na foirne uilig.

Positive uptake of RSV immunisation for newborns with 3,246 infants immunised in the first 4 weeks of the programme. 1 in 2 newborns in Ireland get RSV each winter, with many needing medical care. Immunisation helps protect your baby from RSV infection when levels are highest.
