The Red Sox have the fewest home runs in baseball and it’s not really even close.
Only 4 teams have fewer than 60 homers.
The Red Sox are the only team with fewer than 50.
The Yankees (97) are 1 homer away from having twice as many homers as the Red Sox.
11 games under .500 for the first time since that abomination of a season in 2020, but let’s give all the executives a vote of confidence and say that we’re still a playoff team that’s not considering trading any assets. Should’ve blown this team up in April.
At this point the only *slightly* interesting thing that could happen for the rest of the season is Roman coming back and being Roman again. We will still suck but at least we’d get to see some homers again
I can’t remember who it was that said it on @Section10Pod but they were totally right when they said the Sox are a get right team lol. If you’re a struggling team just play a series against the Sox and you’ll be back on track!
From @Buster_ESPN on the Red Sox being desperate to add a right-handed bat, via @JustBB_Media:
“What I’ve heard today is… they are aggressively looking for a right-handed hitter and signaling to the industry, look we’re willing to take on money”
