We are investigating the wavelength sensitivity of the photodegradation of historical iron gall ink on paper. Blue light has been found to have 10X stronger effect than red light on the discolouration of iron gall ink! YL @CollModel @UCL_ISH

Do you know that the colour change of iron gall ink over time follows a logarithmic relationship? In this case, the use of lux hour as a management criterion may need to be reconsidered. YL @CollModel @UCL_ISH

We are using hyper spectral imaging to investigate the colour change of historical iron gall ink on paper. It is amazing to see that the change of diffuse reflectance of ink mainly takes place beyond 600 nm in the NIR range! YL @CollModel @UCL_ISH
