Spent the last half hour watching Belgian cycling fans (and some Dutch, French etc) celebrate Wout Van Aert winning Paris Roubaix yesterday. Good for the soul. Regardless of the sport, seeing people erupt in joy is always worth watching
"We love him - he comes home every summer and we just love his company."
Great to see Vanillier win today and a lovely chat here with owners Paul and Helen Keveaney on their Grand National experience and more @punchestownrace
Just watched the BBC programme with Chris Hoy.
Over the years, I've met a few very successful people who were, to put it politely, disappointing in how they acted with either me or other people. I often excused it in my mind, thinking that that's how you must have to be to achieve that level of success.
And then I'd think of Chris, who is one of the most humble and personable people you could ever meet, but also one of the most successful.
You're a legend, Chris. More so for who you are and what you've achieved off the bike, than for the many accolades you've achieved on it. X
Was a privilege to work with @DavidGillick on The Race, which is shortlisted for Irish Sports Book of the Year.

(Sports category is #14 and you don't have to vote in every one.)

Eddie Dunbar claimed a long-awaited victory at La Vuelta in 2024. In his final year with Team Jayco AlUla before moving to Q36.5 Pro Cycling in 2026, can he grab another stage win?
