@paddycosgrave For contrcators this is common practice across all sectors and is fully legal and tax compliant. Also don't forget the extra employers tax that contractors pay of 10.75%.

If I sold it, i would still walk away with a massive loss after. What I paid for the property, plus 15 years of income tax, insurance, RTB, repairs and LPT/Property tax.

I have to add €300 a month to the mortgage on top of paying income tax, insurance and property tax. Plenty of landlords in still in negative equity.
