As a California lawmaker, Wiener has supported proposals to make the Golden State a sanctuary jurisdiction for children seeking sex-change surgeries, allow men in women’s prisons, insert drag queen classes into grade-school education, and provide exemptions from the sex offender registry. We would rather not imagine the kinds of bills he will introduce in Congress.
