@gnoble79 China produces roughly 4.3 to 4.6 million barrels of crude oil per day (equivalent to over 200 million tonnes annually), making it the 5th-largest oil producer globally. You sir are an idiot.
@Andy47583901@alanchanguk@RCK1980@Keir_Starmer Yes Mr Marker is enforcing that. Moving those abundant oranges elsewhere costs congestion rent. It is just about how that is billed and who pays. In other commodities, if there is a congested system that is baked into marine or pipeline freight. If itโs in power, itโs ex post.
@Andy47583901@alanchanguk@RCK1980@Keir_Starmer FWIW there is zonal pricing and nodal pricing, which latter I think suits more your argument. I think issue with zonal pricing is as Fuse has previously pointed out: it kills liquidity for hedging. Look at Italy, everyone hedges North and takes tons of basis risk.
@Andy47583901@alanchanguk@RCK1980@Keir_Starmer If I sell an orange at the wholesaler in Florida and the orange juice is consumed in Taiwan - what is the problem? Your above is how literally every single commodity is priced.
@British_Airways Why do you still have most of your flights as ON TIME yet the Heathrow account says all of them are cancelled? Can you please just shift all of them to cancelled to give us peace of mind?
@elonmusk@semaforben Semafor raised $25 million of seed funding from Jessica Lessin, Sam Bankman-Fried and John Thornton on June 22, 2022. David Bradley, Gabriel Bankman-Fried, Jorge Paulo Lemann, and other undisclosed investors also participated in the round. -Pitchbook
