Crews will be methodically separating debris today and looking for hot spots and small fires.
Air Monitoring will continue today throughout the process.
Road closures are still in place currently.

Progress has been made, but a small amount of material is still being extinguished.
Crews will proceed to put this fire out tonight.
There is no concern with air readings in the area around the fire.

We are continuing to monitor the air. Winds have shifted and while our monitors aren’t picking up anything hazardous, the smoke can still be irritating to those with breathing or health problems.

CFD is on the scene of a 3 alarm fire at a recycling plant located at the cross roads of Alum Creek Drive and Refugee Road.
Our monitors are not picking up any hazardous conditions in the area. However, those individuals that have respiratory health issues should stay inside.

Due to a hazmat incident, CFD and CPD are asking residents and drivers to avoid the area at the intersection of Grandview Ave/Harper Road and Central Ave, McKinley Ave, Broad St, and Grandview Ave. Also avoid the 70-W on ramp on Broad Street.
