There is roughly a three to seven day period where they are walking around, with low risk of contagion. High risk during the 'wet' phase of the disease.

@DanalineB I believe is suffering from Glaucoma. Without prompt treatment in dogs this can result in complete blindness. Rocky has a lucky star despite all his hardships.

@NickTaber That most diagnosis is not based on dependable physical tests, that fact is a big issue for psychiatry. However for specific types of illness, catatonia for example, the physical grounding is quite good and the results are consequently also good. Auto-immune causes as well.

@buzzy164 @NiallHarbison I think they have given Rocky medication for Glaucoma just in time. The pressure of Glaucoma eventually destroys the cells that enable eyesight, hoewever the medication was given before those cells were all destroyed. Rocky is a very lucky dog.

@Imonaar To confuse matters more, one can be a Professor and also not have a doctorate, hence Professors with doctorates in UK will refer to themselves as Doctor Professsor. The only people who technically hold the title Doctor are PhDs. For medics the title is honorary.
