@cazontheweb @CityPowerJhb ChatGPT: Basically, the breaker they’re trying to close won’t stay locked in the ON position. They can close it, but the mechanism isn’t latching, so it opens again or can’t be safely energised. Until they fix that, they can’t restore the power supply.

City Power and the Ward Counsellors constantly tell people to turn these appliances off to avoid overloading the substation. People don’t learn.
