This is on the level of claiming that because blacks being violent is a “trope” you can never describe any individual black person as violent. Even if he’s a murderer, it’s racist to call him that because it’s a “racist trope.”
Woke leftist stupidity.
35 years is a tad much for a 17 year old pubescent and manslaughter would have been more appropriate. The audacity to expect walking away from this freely is not sane though.
If you want to claim self defense, at least take the stand to answer for your actions. Melantonin is not a get out of jail free card.
@TheTateClips If yall want inexperienced you can’t hand out experience everywhere you go. Everyone wants a virgin and stick their dick into every hole. It’s like trying to have a cake and eating it at the same time.
Love the line of thinking. I would add, that it is possible to oversee the market at a governmental level while having multiple independent insurance providers compete to drive down costs.
Germany, for example, has a neat system that ties in with your employment. I recall the government ordering the providers to pay back premiums years ago because they made too much money of the people.
Luigi Mangione’s crime was evil, but it forced a real healthcare conversation in America.
Here's my idea that takes the best of both sides:
For the left, we provide important healthcare to all without bankruptcy.
For the right, we protect capitalism by NOT degrading medical care quality or increasing wait times like in socialist universal healthcare nations.
Top 5 Leftist Arguments & My Response:
1. “Everyone deserves completely free universal healthcare”
My rebuttal: Government as payer of last resort for catastrophic cases ($100k+) protects people without nationalizing the entire system.
2. “Healthcare is a human right”
My rebuttal: No one should go bankrupt from cancer, but giving government total control creates long wait times and rationing.
3. “What about routine/preventive care, insulin, and chronic meds?”
My rebuttal: Those stay in the competitive private market. Price transparency + competition will drive those costs down far better than government control.
4. “We must keep and expand Medicare & Medicaid”
My rebuttal: I’d reform them into true safety nets for catastrophic care only. The current versions are financially unsustainable.
5. “Single-payer/Medicare for All is the only solution”
My rebuttal: My plan delivers real protection while preserving innovation and avoiding the failures we see in Canada and the UK.
Top 3 Right-Wing Arguments & My Response:
1. “Just let the free market handle everything”
My rebuttal: The market fails when one cancer treatment costs $400k Catastrophic protection is necessary 2. “Repeal Obamacare and cut government spending, that’s it” My rebuttal: That does nothing to protect normal Americans from medical bankruptcy.
3. “Personal responsibility fixes everything”
My rebuttal: Personal responsibility works for minor care, but not when you’re hit with a half-million-dollar hospital bill.
My Reform: Mandatory high- deductible catastrophic insurance for all.
Free market handles routine care.
Government only steps in for true catastrophes.
This beats both sides.
Pope Leo's views on immigration should be completely non-controversial. He says he is against open borders. Countries have a right to decide who enters. Mass immigration is a problem to be solved. People should stay in their own countries. But that if people do come, they should be treated like human beings with dignity. He also says if they come, they should learn the language and respect the laws.
But because people's brains are broken by American politics they cannot understand this nuance.
At minimum, they should have gotten negligence charges or manslaughter at the max. And a sentence that doesn’t exceed their own age.
I’m not a racist and shouldn’t have to disclaim that. None of this is about race, people are dead and accountability should be a thing for all creeds and colors.
@Timcast I really don’t give a damn what happened in other trials and let’s not pretend the current uproar would be any different if Rittenhouse hadn’t walked.
Personally, I wouldn’t have Rittenhouse walk but that doesn’t mean Anthony gets to walk too. Kyle and Karmalo are both killers.
This is so devastating. Imagine being a black parent tonight. How do you protect your children? If they go out and stab just one person, they might go to prison. It’s like a black man in America can’t even murder anyone anymore. Unimaginable. Jim Crow all over again. I’m furious.
I reached a breaking point with the Karmalo sympathy for a young black man who decided to bring a knife to a track meet and ended up killing a white young man. He killed someone and no amount of melatonin changes that fact.
