Ravenwood hijacked our internet service and was charging $79 per day!!! We will have a workaround tomorrow. In the meantime, we put our power outlet to work - see the new droid charging station - powered by the wind turbines of Jericho, Kansas.
Getting ready for Comic Con 2024!
If you would really like to see the Comic Con experience, try watching the 2012 movie Comic Con. It is currently showing on Tubi (free TV app). It follows 5 attendees, each there for a different reason. The movie was filmed at Comic Con 2010.
Next year, we hope to expand and have a panel, with Byron prompting his "After the Bombs" book.
Just waiting on the dates to begin planning for Comic Con 2024.
Goodnight,
Rangers
Loved having the droid booth next to ours and if they come back, I hope we can share a power drop (droids need to be recharged - just like our devices).
This was a great con (even with the con being Hollywood light) and we had three interviews at the booth.
The last couple of hours at the con, were very busy. I was off seeing the one screening I wanted to see - the animated Babylon 5 movie, so Shari handled the rush,
Our total of the fans talked to at this con was 383, which is excellent for the back mezzanine.
My boothmate, Shari, managed to trade for one of the rare Percy Jackson bags. Jon Steinberg (Jericho's creator) and Dan Shotz (Jericho's showrunner) are behind Percy Jackson and the Olympians (Disney +).
These photos are showing the crowds that come in when the doors officially open.
The first photos show the exhibit hall before opening and the other show the crowds moving though the mezzanine and onto the exhibit hall floor.
Today (Saturday) we had three members of the press stop by. Two taped us and one will contacting me later.
It is highly unusually to get that many press contacts. Especially since we did not see them go to the other tables.
One of the Jericho creative team (one of the cameramen) stopped by and told us a little more about the strike. His union has to negotiate next year. However, until the strike is settled, he is out of work.
