@ModibaCOMM3724 I do because the drug works by increasing the concentration of certain neurotransmitters in the brain that control reasoning, problem-solving and other behaviors.Abuse of Ritalin can also lead users to consume stronger drugs to achieve the same high.
Did you know that some teenagers use drugs as a sense of a study aid?.
They do this by using certain medication without the use of a doctors prescription thinking that those meds will help them focus and boast their concentration during exams or tests.
@Comm3724Khoete True. When it happens parents sometimes feel disappointed not knowing that you've disappointed yourself too. Because now theres a baby in the picture meaning you have to sacrifice some of your plans and at that time you are really young.
Drug abuse is a serious mental health issue which many young people tend to be exposed to. No one plans to be exposed to drugs but rather their situation might be what lures them to this mental health issue.
@KhumaloComm3724 The mentality can be shifted by knowning that you do not always need to be a parent. Sometimes a child needs you to be his or her friend in order for him or her to trust you. Meaning you need to be flexible and transparent and not leave everything to educators.
It needs to start at home. Parent's should speak openly with their kids without judgement or shouting. They need to educate their kids about drugs that they exist. While existing they have negative causes in our health.
@Comm3724Moss How can such behavior be minimized in schools so that pupils don’t take the same behavior back to the communities and eventually damage other kids?
@Comm3724Deyce The only way is to ask her to consult a Dr. If she doesn't want to than maybe show her some video's on YouTube about the danger of it. But don't approach in a pushy manner.
@MthembuCOMM3724 Drugs affect the brain by interfering with the way neurons snd, receive, and process signals via neurotransmitters.Remember we learnt this(sender-reciever) in https://t.co/Ubpz9Xgxc6 other drugs like marijuana and heroin, can affect the way you receive information or respond to it.
@MthembuCOMM3724 Different drugs can have different effects remember thy are chemicals which hav an effect in the body as well as a person's brain.E.g sum painkillers may make u drowsy.Abusing on thm may cause health issues like lung or heart disease, stroke, cancer, or mental health conditions
I am saying that chronic medication can be addictive or may cause a person to dependent on it especially if used regularly. Any medicine containing aspirin, paracetamol and/ caffeine can be very addictive. Take for example a person who uses grandpa 4-8 in a day.
@mohonocomm3724 A healthy diet is very important. Everything you eat becomes a part of your inner being as well as your outer being. The healthier the food the lesser the risk of having cardiovascular diseases.
@mohonocomm3724 Such an inviting podcast. Lovely vibe. Which exercises are fit enough for someone who is really overweight would you recommend for them to do?
@Lebohan91535398 Other's may not get addicted because they rarely use the drug. They don't overdose. They might use it ones in a month and not yet regularly.
@mohonocomm3724 Thank you so much. I don't think it's a good idea as it sometimes can cause fear, distrupt, anxiety and panic. It can also affect a persons memory or ability to solve problems.
@KhaphetshuC We become secretive and even afraid to go to a clinic for family planning because we are afraid uma sban-sban might see us and tell uma. We are not https://t.co/82SyjAoIvg some of us we risk it. While a percentage of us honestly knows nothing about family planning.
@KhaphetshuC And again in sum households it's even taboo to raise a topic about sex.I feel like if parents instead of saying "hlukana nalamfana" while knowning u would never they should just introduce u to family planning and be open to you about sex. Sometimes we do things without knowning.
