Dyami Brown vs. Treylon Burks
Dyami Brown’s best season was 2024, when he had 30 catches for 308 yards and a TD (reg season).
Burks’ best season was his rookie year in 2022, when he had 33 catches for 444 yards and a TD.
Brown had 14 catches for 229 yards and 1 touchdown in three 2024 playoff games. 0 drops.
Burks has as many touchdowns in his 8 games in Washington (1) as he does in his 3 seasons in Tennessee (played in 26 games).
Brown is 6’, 195. Burks is 6’2, 225.
Could have been even longer if the Lakers didn’t trade Kwame Brown in 2008.
2007: Larry Hughes (Cleveland Cavaliers)
2006: Jerry Stackhouse (Dallas Mavericks)
2005: Rasheed Wallace, Ben Wallace, Rip Hamilton, & Darvin Ham (Detroit Pistons)
2004: Rip Hamilton, Ben Wallace, Rasheed Wallace, Darvin Ham, & Hubert Davis (Detroit Pistons)
2003: Aaron Williams (New Jersey Nets)
2002: Mitch Richmond (L.A. Lakers)
2001: Greg Foster (L.A. Lakers)
Bill was impressive… so slippery and can really see the field. If he could catch the ball out of the backfield and gets better in pass protection, he could be a star.
Big if, and sort of stuck in a weird place because right now he’s an early down back but not a thumper.
Also doesn’t play special teams… so he’s almost between RB1 and RB2 and not quite either. Hard to explain.
Sonny Styles will be making an appearance at DICK’s in Rio (Gaithersburg) on Saturday, June 6 from noon-1:30pm. My neck of the woods, great opportunity unless it’s too packed. Tom Wilson will be there the day before.

We hear a lot about the Amon-Ra St. Brown ceiling for Antonio Williams, but I think Jamison Crowder is his floor.
Crowder had 50+ catches in six of his first seven seasons (with injuries derailing 2018).
I think he falls somewhere in between and that’s great.
Washington sent a copy of their playbook to everyone they were interested in and taped a $100 bill to the last page.
Most didn’t even see it, but Sonny Styles was the only person to mail the $100 back. He put it in a card and wrote “Save this for when I win you the Super Bowl.”
Initially, I thought the new arrow-through-the-W logo was awful but I like it on the actual helmet.
Not too worried about it being physically possible, I also loved this Raptors logo that isn’t necessarily physically possible.
Great question. I think they’ll battle to be the #4 receiver, with 2 and 3 likely not yet on the roster. Realistic expectation would be 25-35 catches for whoever wins out. I’d go Dyami because he’s more explosive, but Burks has better hands.
The stuff @Coach_JayGruden shares is always the most interesting. A podcast with him and other ex-coaches and GMs breaking down busts, surprises, and players they wanted/almost had would print money.
Seeing this makes me think Ben Sinnott may not make this team. Behind Okonkwo as the receiving TE, behind Bates as the blocking TE, and is he even in front of Yankoff? Team high on Cager could be the end for Sinnott, a 2024 second round pick.
Dan Quinn said they're high on TE Lawrence Cager...."Interesting to see where it goes with Cager." Not the first time I've heard someone with the team mention Cager this offseason.
@TorreySmithWR I think it’s similar to Saquon trying to keep Steph Curry from scoring. Almost always, he probably can’t… and that doesn’t mean he’s not an athlete.
Drafting Mansoor Delane would fill a need, and he has the potential to develop into a lockdown corner. It would also give us four starting-caliber corners in the rotation.
That said, I’d feel a little disappointed taking him at 7. That doesn’t mean it would be the wrong pick.
Jerome Ford can catch the ball out of the backfield and also contribute on special teams.
He has the potential to be that back up third down back who can step in for White if needed. Last year, when Ekeler got hurt, we pretty much lost that element of the offense.
The bottom of our WR depth chart is a lot better than it was last year.
WR1: Terry McLaurin
Battling for WR 4-6:
Dyami Brown
Treylon Burks
Jaylin Lane
Luke McCaffrey
Van Jefferson
Brown, Burks, and Jefferson don’t play special teams. McCaffrey and Lane do.
Need a WR2 & WR3
TE Chig Okonkwo: A
EDGE Odafe Oweh B
EDGE K'Lavon Chaisson B
DT Tim Settle B-
LB Leo Chenal A
CB Amik Robertson C+
S Nick Cross A
Hope they all become A+ signings. Very happy with how things are going.
