We all still want to be in it… and maybe we kind of are.

We all want an All-Pro left guard too. But at 1-4-1, mortgaging any of our future (the Colts reportedly want a 1st) with as many holes as we have, for a 30-year-old guard who also needs a new contract, might not be the smartest move.

@DCSportsDre We’ll miss the (usual) reliability of McLaurin and Diggs if they can’t go, but maybe an opportunity to be a bit more explosive with those who will be available.

@BenStandig Newton is winning because we haven’t seen him in a bit, but it’s not looking good for any of them. I’d say Mikey, and that’s a long shot (and probably the least popular selection) right now.

@chinamaniac For the comments saying Ricky Watters was a system running back, he ran for more than 1,000 yards in a season with three different teams and caught more than 50 passes in a season with three different teams as well.

Don’t count Chig Okonkwo out yet. Slow start for various reasons including injury, but if we can get on track his production will certainly increase.

If Jayden returns and remains healthy, he’s someone I expect to see a lot more from.

Athan Kaliakmanis actually looked a lot like early Kirk Cousins (2012-2014). Threw some strikes, missed a few, aired it out, and threw a couple balls that had you worrying the whole time.

Not advocating for anything other than he was just fine for a 7th round, 3rd string rookie. Much better than Hartman as our 3rd QB and a downgrade from Marcus. Might look better next week if he has to start, but I think we all hope it’s Jayden.

Athan Kaliakmanis was fine in his first series. Missed Lane on the third down (went to Diggs short of the sticks), but was still able to throw a couple short strikes.

As he settles down, he will see the field better. Still a 7th round rookie though.

Big game to throw Gulbin into the fire, but you can always make the change back to Allegretti if Gulbin seems lost or can’t keep up. Also gives you the luxury to sub in Allegretti at center if Lucas’ ankle isn’t holding up,
