🔺Rep. Thomas Massie says he will again offer his amendment to strip Section 219 from the NDAA when the House reconvenes July 13. The provision would enable to integrate US and Israeli military technology across weapons co-production, AI, cyber, and data-sharing; Netanyahu has called it his personal plan.

The Rules Committee blocked the bipartisan Massie-Khanna amendment last week without debate, keeping it from a floor vote. But the procedural measure needed to bring the NDAA itself to the floor then unexpectedly failed, stalling the whole bill and forcing the committee to write a new rule, giving opponents of the provision another shot.

The Quincy Institute says Section 219 would tie the US military to Israel’s more than the hundreds of billions of dollars of aid has since 1948. It would also disguise taxpayer funding for the Israeli military.
