The community members of Bubikhulu B restoration site in Bumasheti Subcounty, Bunamea community Bududa district are planting contour grass bunds on contours demarcated using an A-Frame (Technical backstopping by filed staff to IFTs and site group members) @NLinUganda @ISSDUganda

Today at Gakole site Busanza S/C in Kisoro district, community members managed to establish contour reverse bench terraces, water retention ditches and Trenches. They are aimed at controlling erosion. @ISSDUganda @NLinUganda

David Pilo from Bunahayoti community in Bududa District is making progress of fighting malnutrition using a kitchen garden. He grows vegetables of different varieties. He also sells the excess vegetables to get income that supports his household. @ISSDUganda @NLinUganda

Farmers from Kiboota community, Buhesi Town council, Bunyaganbu district have established a demonstration garden where they have dug trenches for soil and water conservation. This was done during the follow-up support visit on crop and land management. @ISSDUganda @NLinUganda

Contour-reversed bench terraces are modified terracing systems built along slope contours but with a reversed grade (typically 5%) to direct runoff away from the terrace edge, enhancing drainage and reducing erosion.

Community members of Mpundu, located in Chahafi Town Council in Kisoro District, are constructing contour reversed bench terraces at Murambi restoration site. The community is being supported by the @CommGroundUg, and more than 200 members have been actively present. @NLinUganda
