The Women’s Forum brought together international delegates from the Commonwealth and the rest of the world across sectors including prime ministers, ministers, civil society, youth and the private sector to ensure perspectives from all areas of society are incorporated. The Women’s Forum providea a platform for women to discuss challenges, share best practices and agree on actions and recommendations to carry forward to the leaders of the Commonwealth. Sruti Mohapatra from India spoke on the challenges of divyang women being marginalised in the mainstream women movement, lack of disaggregated data and simple steps for inclusion and preparation for counting the disabled across all SDGs for 2030. Her presentation brought about loud cheers and invitations to multiple forums there itself.
