From representation to real power — the conversation around leadership is evolving faster than ever.
At #e4mprwomenachievers, Amandeep Singh, Deepa Dey, Vandana Chopra and moderator Aman Dhall discuss what leadership needs next in a world driven by change, inclusion and influence.
Here are key Takeaways:
"Diversity has greatly improved over the years, but it is still not where it should be" — Vandana Chopra
"Women need to do their homework, understand the context, and prepare themselves to answer difficult questions and take difficult decisions"— Deepa Dey
“Women represent 31% of entry-level roles in India, but only 13% of C-suite positions. The leadership gap is still very real.” — Aman Dhall
“Representation alone is not enough. Until women are empowered to influence decisions and shape outcomes, the system cannot truly change.” — Amandeep Singh

A Milestone Moment in Our Journey.
Last week, February 12 marked a defining chapter for us, as we unveiled our flagship report, ‘How Bharat Finances Its Housing Dreams’.
More than a launch, it was a strong statement of intent. It was a coming together of industry leaders, policymakers, partners, and changemakers—all aligned around one shared belief: housing inclusion is fundamental to building a stronger, more equitable Bharat.
The process of purchasing a home in India has undergone a significant transformation, particularly for younger buyers. Today, a large share of the journey, from discovery to loan application, is conducted online, driven by the preferences of Millennials and Gen Z.
These insights from the report reinforce just how rapidly the landscape is evolving:
* While public sector banks still command the largest share of housing loans, private banks and NBFCs are rapidly gaining ground with speed, flexibility, and digital innovation.
* Millennials & Gen Z now drive nearly 90–95% of home purchases
* Around 72% of borrowers under 40 prefer applying online
* Nearly 80% of DigiLocker users in loan journeys are 35 or younger
As the market grows, so does our responsibility to ensure that housing finance is more inclusive, transparent, and tech-enabled for every aspiring homeowner across Bharat.

A remarkable convergence of industry leaders, policy experts and media voices defined the launch of How Bharat Finances Its Housing Dreams, the latest report by BASIC Home Loan.
The event opened with insightful addresses by Atul Monga, our co-founder and CEO, and Kalyan Josyula, our co-founder & CTO, setting the tone for the conversations that followed.
An engaging fireside discussion featuring RV Verma (Former CEO & MD, NHB) and Atul Monga, moderated by Aman Dhall (Founder, CommsCredible), offered thoughtful reflections on the direction of India’s housing finance ecosystem.
The momentum continued with a dynamic panel bringing together Dakshita Das (Former Additional Secretary, Department of Financial Services), Vivek Law (Editor-in-Chief & Co-Founder, Simple Hai!), and Sameer Mahajan (Chief Business Officer, DMI Housing Finance). The exchange was sharp and candid, expertly moderated by Saloni Singh (Media Head, CommsCredible).
From engaging stage conversations to meaningful interactions, these moments capture the energy and spirit of the housing finance dialogue. Here’s a look back at some of the key highlights.

At the launch of How Bharat Finances Its Housing Dreams, Atul Monga, our CEO and Co Founder, set the tone with a clear and grounded address.
He reflected on a reality many witnessed in recent years people moving back to their native towns not by choice, but because affordable and accessible housing in cities remained out of reach.
For Atul, this signalled a deeper structural gap.
Key insights from his address:
* Distribution remains the sector’s biggest bottleneck
* Access to the right housing finance products is still uneven
* Technology must bridge this gap by better understanding borrower behaviour

As crises unfold faster in an AI-driven world, communication strategies must balance speed, judgment, and trust.
Venkatesh Somayaji, Deebba Ali, Jasrita Dhir, Aman Dhall, and Madhurima Bhatia unpack how crisis playbooks are evolving, moderated by Garima Sharma Nijhawan, at #PrandCorpComm30under30Summit.

Here are the key takeaways:
"I think one of the key things—which others have also touched upon—is faster escalation. We now live in a borderless world, thanks to the proliferation of the internet and social media, along with a 24×7, 365-day news cycle.": Deebba Ali, Director Corporate Communications - India & PR Lead for Saas, Oracle
"Algorithms reward outrage and novelty; as a result, a brand can move from obscurity to a global backlash within hours. That’s the point about speed that she was making.": Jasrita Dhir, Vice President Brand & Communications, Ashoka University
"I would like to add a note of caution: while we are discussing AI from a crisis-management perspective, AI has not yet evolved to a stage where the communications industry has fully understood it or is able to use it effectively. Even AI itself does not yet have all the answers it claims to offer.": Venkatesh Somayaji, Director & Founder, Visage11 Advisors
“For most agencies, the role is execution, not ownership. Without deep, long-term history with a brand, crisis management often means firefighting rather than shaping strategy.” - Aman Dhall, CommsCredible
“We use social media listening tools to track what’s being said about our clients’ brands. Our researchers then analyse that data and translate it into clear, actionable recommendations.” - Madhurima Bhatia, Ipsos in India
“Time is the biggest casualty in a crisis, and today virality has overtaken validation. That reality demands a fundamental rethink of how we manage crises.” - Garima Sharma Nijhawan, Oathenticity
