I am grateful to President Ruto for the invitation to discuss important issues affecting our two nations and East Africa. The agreements we signed during my visit carry the weight of historical context, aligning with our long-awaited missions. Over 60 years ago, Africa gained independence, yet the true depth of our historical mission remained unexplored (Uhuru na Umoja).

The commissioning of these buildings confirms the NRM message that there's nothing that we cannot do if we plan and prioritise. If we take that line, we shall manage and we are managing.
The government still maintains its target of increasing the court system budget to Shs800 billion. Our people must get justice. We shall work with His Lordship the Chief Justice to prioritize this.

I have had a fruitful business breakfast with investors, fund managers, processors of food and large commodity buyers at Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington, London this morning.
I expressed to them that Uganda’s position remains hellbent on African Unity, Africa’s strategic survival economically and politically, and this will be on my mind during deliberations at the Summit.
Later, I addressed the Foreign Press Association reporters for all global news channels based in the UK. With the journalists, we had a candid debate on Uganda’s economic, political, and global direction. They were also keen on my views about the US-Africa Leader’s Summit.

Vietnam asked its citizens if it should give them electricity or health facilities and people chose electricity. Their argument was that with power they would be able to have TV and learn a lot of public health and home education. This is how electricity is important. #REC22
Our interest would be to have access to electricity by everybody and the target by SDG7 is that every Ugandan should have access to electricity by 2030. That is only 8 years from now. #REC22@GCICUganda @Nrepuganda @MEMD_Uganda
On any project, data collection takes about 80% of the budget and honestly that may clear all budget and we might not be able to complete the project. #REC22 @Nrepuganda @GCICUganda@GCICUganda@MEMD_Uganda
