This sweet little senior long haired Chihuahua comes to us from the Norfolk Animal Care Center (NACC). 🐶🐾

She is roughly 10 years old and weighs 8 pounds. She is very sweet and is cat friendly. 🐱She will see the vet ASAP to address her medical issues. 🩺

Don’t let those puppy eyes fool you. 🐶
Instead, offer dog friendly treats like watermelon 🍉(without the seeds or rind), cucumber slices 🥒, or frozen blueberries 🫐 and strawberries. 🍓

🐾Meet Kolbe! (Not like the 🧀)

Kolbe comes to us from the Norfolk Animal Care Center where he was recently surrendered because his owner was facing medical issues. He is a 13-14 pound miniature poodle (maybe a mix 🤔).

Kolbe is a very sweet dog. He loves other people and pets. He walks well on leash and his house manners are pretty good. So far he has been a delight to foster. He does like to play with other dogs and does not seem like a 7 year old dog! He’s playful like a puppy. 🐶

Compact Canine Rescue's Dressed to the CaNines: Rescue on the Runway took place on Saturday, April 18th, 2026 @makersbrewery and was a HUGE success! Together, we raised over $5000 for dogs in need!

Cuddles is a ten-year-old, 14lb, female Poodle Mix.

Like many of us, Cuddles has overcome many hurdles in her life. ❤️‍🩹
Cuddles was surrendered by her previous family because they were unable to dedicate the time needed to address her medical issues. After a much-needed surgery to remove bladder stones, Cuddles is feeling 100% better! She is full of life and ready to find her new home. 🏡

Cuddles will need to stay on her prescription diet to ensure those painful, miserable bladder stones don't come back. But Cuddles hasn't let it keep her down! She is a playful girl who loves her toys, bones, and nice long back scratch. Cuddles gets along well with other dogs and earns her name by being oh so snuggly. 💕

Her foster provided us with the most heartwarming update that we wanted to share with you all! ❤️‍🩹

“She’s begun play-prancing, asking me to chase her, and she’s showing and she’s showing interest in squeaky toys but doesn’t yet know what to do with them.

She recognizes her name and comes with called (usually). She climbed an entire set of stairs after her groom! She is learning by leaps and bounds!

She’s spent most of the weekend on various visitors’ laps for hours at a time and appears to be comfortable but still not seeking it out.”

Ethel is still learning how to be a dog, but her foster is helping her personality shine. ☀️

Meet Little Lucy!

Lucy is an 8-year-old, 10-lb miniature poodle.

She may be little, but she is full of sweetness! Rescued from a puppy mill in Pennsylvania, Lucy comes from rough beginnings, but her warm personality is finally starting to show. Her little tail wags constantly, and she even started giving her foster mom sweet kisses.

She is also *cat friendly* ! 🐈‍⬛

Lucy will need a dental and spay surgery before she is fully ready for adoption.
