📍Ghana’s AI Couple

Last week we shared a story of 4 KNUST lecturers ranked among the top AI/ML researchers in Ghana by citations.

It turns out, 2 of the 𝐭𝐨𝐩 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞 are not just colleagues, but a couple, @hnmensah and @FranciscaA7072.

Each department held its own handing-over and awards ceremony, passing the baton, celebrating wins, and welcoming fresh energy for the year ahead.

ACES Week 2025 had its own version of the Champions League. Four classes entered, but 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝟐 class showed they can dribble… and took the trophy home.

Yes, actually. We played these games during CodeFest.

Chess trains our logic. Monopoly trains our strategy. Ludo teaches timing.

These skills build the same problem-solving mindset we use to code, design, and engineer solutions.

📍Picnic blankets, games, inside jokes, food and plenty of photos. A simple way for 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥-𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐁𝐢𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 to say goodbye to years of late nights, lab work, and group projects.

📍Final year Biomedical Engineering students had a picnic to enjoy good food, laughter, and their last moments together.

The highlight was the cake, white, decorated in gold with 𝐵𝑖𝑜𝑚𝑒𝑑𝑖𝑐𝑎𝑙 𝐸𝑛𝑔𝑖𝑛𝑒𝑒𝑟𝑖𝑛𝑔 2025 written on it.

Our Senior Lecturers, Dr. @ETTchao and Prof. Benjamin Kommey have both been promoted to Associate Professors.

📍On this 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲, we look back at a moment of giving.

Earlier this year, Biomedical Engineering students visited the Nsawam Orthopedic Center to make donations in support of patients and staff.

Service goes beyond the classroom.
