Last night I reported a dangerous driver on 5th St SW. Of course, not where there’s a cycle track or any accommodation whatsoever to acknowledge that it a designated route for vulnerable road users.
A group of us were biking on 5th Street SW between 17th Ave and the Elbow River Pathway when an aggressive driver yelled at us to "get on the bike path."
We wish!

Complete 5th St cycletrack river-to-river, no question.
1. Cycletrack already there
2. Most direct connection to Elbow River
3. Easy access to businesses on 4th

The new green box pisses off the right turners (because cyclists block their ability to turn right on red) and makes it easier for the drivists in the SB lane to forget that there are cyclists using this route, too.
Anyone know why they moved the bike box for the 5th st. cycletrack to the right side of the street at 17th into the turn lane? Confusing for cars, as you are in a clearly marked turn lane, but going straight. Made more sense where it was before. #yycbike@yyctransport
