At Woodlesford, we relish the opportunity to use technology within our cross-curricular approach - in an ever-changing digital world to engage and inspire. 🌳💻
A fantastic Year 6 cohort who have created lots of memories and worked exceptionally hard over the years. We will miss them!😞Have a look at some of the great times they have had... https://t.co/opRIovZuYS @MissCollierWPS @MrSmithWPS@Child_Leeds @mrstraffordwps
It was also great to hear of the skills of working as a team, overcoming boundaries and having ambition play in creating these events. A massive thanks to Rob and Nicole from @Skymagicdrones for giving the children an insight into your work. 👏👏
The children in Y6 were lucky enough to experience a Q&A session with SKYMAGIC. The children were fascinated to know how many drones are used to make the displays and how computing plays a vital role all across the business. @Skymagicdrones 💻
As all design processes start with a pencil/paper, the children got to work in their groups designing their own drone display ideas. After selecting an idea, they then turned these into digital visuals. @Skymagicdrones
On Tuesday, over 100 girls from schools across Leeds came to play in the Woodlesford U9 girls’ cup. It was great to have some of our U11 girls support the children and keep track of the scores. The excitement from all the girls throughout the day was felt all around school!🌟
Congratulations to @BSLPrimary who were the overall winners this year. 🏆 Thanks to all the staff, schools involved, parents, children, @westridingfa and @leedswellschools for their support 👏
We had a team of Y3 and a team of Y4 girls take part in a football tournament at Woodlesford this afternoon. The children really enjoyed it and played very well. They also showed great sportsmanship and behaviour. Well done!
Brilliant from this team of Year 4s tonight. Comfortable wins in the 1/4 and semi finals before a classic 3-3 draw with Woodlesford in the city final. An epic penalty shoot out followed and despite some great strikes and saves we lost in sudden death. Proud of them all! 👏🏼⚽️💜
Amazingly, @RhinosNetballSL first team netball player, @AmyBraithwaite7 and coach Ellie put the children through their paces in a netball session and after they were able to ask lots of questions in a Q&A in the afternoon. Great role models for all! ⭐⭐
On Friday, Y6 had lots of discussions around the topic of 'Healthy Lifestyles’ with Dane from @RugbyLeeds They learnt how sports players have faced challenges (both mentally and physically) and where we could go for support. Thanks for a great session! @MrSmithWPS @mrstraffordwps
Equality is a huge part of our curriculum @WoodlesfordPri and everyone has an equal chance to represent the school. Here are our girls and boys U11s football teams who both won their matches last week! #schoolsport#weallcan @mrstraffordwps @MrsMurrayWPS@MissSchlesinger
Year 6 are loving their new computing unit on 3D modelling! Last week, we started by creating our own maze designs and looking into why modelling would be used. We can't wait to see their creativity in the next few weeks with this topic. @MrSmithWPS @mrstraffordwps 🎨
Great to see PCSO Mosley coming into school to help the children in EYFS learn how how technology/computing is used within policing. The children look to have had a great time! 🚓
The children in reception class enjoyed a visit from our local PSO’s this week as part of our ‘People who help us’ topic. @MrSmithWPS @mrstraffordwps @MissSchlesinger
Thank you @BekkiBass for giving your time to speak the girls about staying positive!👌🏻They definitely took that into their next game before then narrowly missing out in extra time in the semi final. 💪🏻 Lots to be proud of and a great competition! 👏 @MrSmithWPS @mrstraffordwps
