@SenatorWong Which Australian born man was killed by terrorists?
Both lived overseas and joined armed groups where they lived.
One was killed while standing in a tank pointing a gun at someone.
One was killed when a family home was bombed, this also killed his brother visiting from Sydney.
The 7 October attacks killed fewer people than were killed by Operation Iron Swords in
The 1st week of bombing (over 1400)
The 2nd week of bombing (over 1400, even if you exclude the Al-Ahli / Baptist hospital massacre)
Bombing on JUST 2 DAYS
from 24 to 25 October
(over 1400)
@thereal_truther@RitchieTorres I presume you mean Sinwar?
If so, I hope you mean the IDF, because there's an awful lot of problems with attributing a killing to a "people".
@benbstwits@XH487@stevemaman As far as I can tell, from their point of view, they did save her, from ISIS and from Syria.
She was in an unhappy (possibly abusive) relationship, but in Gaza she seems to have only been a hostage in a figurative sense, like any woman feeling trapped with no other options.
This is also why I'm not trying that bloody hashtag.
ISIS had pretty much stopped existing. Soon after that publicity boost they attacked Moscow and Iran.
Netanyahu first started the "Hamas is ISIS" thing during the 2014 Gaza war.
It seems to have been THE DAY AFTER ALI DEIF'S FUNERAL!
Ali Deif was the 7-month-old son of Mohammed Deif
5 others also died when the apartment building was bombed, including Ali's mother and sister.
Here's an archive of one of the Facebook posts https://t.co/Y2LfTIuzU2
I'm NOT posting examples where @netanyahu included ISIS propaganda.
I don't believe the conspiracy theories of them being collaborative allies, but I sometimes wonder Bibi et al. deliberately promote ISIS?
People would respectfully remember what happened a year ago … if not for what happened all year. https://t.co/aICICCQv6o
To everyone who knows me, if I am killed in something people call a terrorist attack, don't let anyone start a war for me. Not in my name!
@thereal_truther What do you mean by people who "don't understand the situation"?
There's no good guys, but Israel aren't even the least bad.
All year a couple of dozen Israels were killed by Hezza, more than half were on duty IDF. Then on one day Israel's "self defence" killed 500 in Lebanon.
@tessnam@thereal_truther @Decolonialized That sounds like Israel get to annex South Lebanon.
Ideally they'd use that time to talk, and work out something more long term.
@thereal_truther Re the Israeli med student, the problem wasn't just "from Israel". I'm not sure about this specific case, but in other cases described like that the problem was that exchange students arrived straight after military service and their attitudes / habits from that were a problem.
