I paid a working visit to the Executive Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service, Dr Zacch Adedeji, at the FIRS headquarters in Abuja.
Our discussion focused on strengthening collaboration between Ekiti State and the FIRS in order to expand economic opportunities for our people. Partnering with federal agencies, the private sector and development institutions remains central to our economic agenda, especially in creating an enabling environment for investment, improving revenue administration and supporting job creation.
I also recalled with appreciation Dr Adedeji’s visit to Ado Ekiti in October, when he joined the Joint Tax Board to commission the Ekiti Revenue House during the third anniversary of our administration.
We will continue to build strong partnerships that advance the prosperity and wellbeing of our people.
I thank God Almighty for this nomination and look forward to serving my fatherland and humanity. I am particularly grateful to the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for his visionary and exemplary leadership.
The President has taught me the meaning of forgiveness and has helped me better understand what patriotism entails. In short, Christlikeness is demonstrated in him. He is the right man, at the right time, for the right job, and deserves the right hand of fellowship from all Nigerians.
May God bless you, Mr President, and may Nigeria prosper as an indivisible entity with peace, prosperity, and progress under your able leadership.
I thank my parents, Esijolomi and Omerewumi, who moulded me, as a piece of clay they received from God, into what I am today.
May God bless Malam Nuhu Ribadu. Although I have said this publicly before, let me repeat it today. If it were possible for all the goodness on Earth to be domiciled in a single human being, that person would be Malam.
Finally, I thank my wife, Hana, my yene konjoo, who has been a pillar by my side and helped settle my mind for the three years that enemies of the President made me their foe because of my unalloyed support for the President and unrelenting loyalty to Nigeria.
May God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria!

On October 28th, 2025, the Okemesi–Itawure Road and the Okemesi General Hospital were officially commissioned as part of the activities marking the 3rd anniversary of the Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji administration. The event radiated a profound sense of pride, unity, and shared commitment to sustained development across Ekiti State.
The ceremony was graced by the esteemed Governor of Ondo State, H.E. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, who performed the commissioning and received heartfelt appreciation from the people. In his goodwill message, Governor Aiyedatiwa expressed deep admiration and brotherly affection, commending the visionary, impactful, and people-centred governance driving Ekiti’s progress.
In his remarks, Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering dedication to continuity and inclusive growth, stating:
“For those who say nothing is happening in the state, we have heard you — but that is not correct. People are entitled to their opinions, not their facts. What motivates me is seeing joy on your faces, knowing you are happy. Once our people are happy, we care less about distractions. We will continue to develop our state and uplift our people.”
This commissioning stands as yet another testament to a government focused on results, guided by the people’s aspirations, and committed to building a future of sustainable progress for every Ekiti citizen.
Big News!
The Executive Governor of Ekiti State, @biodunaoyebanji, has approved the sum of N7.7bn for construction of the following roads in Ado Ekiti, state capital:
📌 Mathew Road to St Paul's Anglican Church (Note that the federal government has awarded the road from St. Paul's to Poly/ABUAD Road- Ijan. This shows that the state is complementing the efforts of the FG)
📌 Ijigbo-Ojido-Odo Ado Road
📌 Mugbagba Road connecting back to St. Paul's Anglican
📌 Ojumose/Post Office via Ewi's palace
📌 Atikankan-Baptist Church.

Trump's rhetoric may have escalated insecurity in Nigeria, Omojuwa tells US senator
Japheth Omojuwa, an author and political commentator, says US President Donald Trump’s remarks on Nigeria may have led to an upsurge in insecurity in the country.
He added that he did not share the notion that Nigerian Christians feel reassured by Trump’s offer of protection from “persecution”.
Omojuwa offered his perspective while posing a question to Kevin Cramer, US senator, at the three-day Halifax International Security Forum in Canada.

STATEHOUSE PRESS RELEASE
PRESIDENT TINUBU ORDERS THE WITHDRAWAL OF POLICE OFFICERS GUARDING VIPS FOR CORE POLICE DUTIES
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has ordered the withdrawal of police officers currently providing security for Very Important Persons in the country.
Henceforth, police authorities will deploy them to concentrate on their core police duties.
The presidential directive was issued at the security meeting President Tinubu held on Sunday with the police, Air Force, army chiefs and the Director-General of the Department of State Services, DSS, in Abuja.
According to the Presidential directive, VIPs who want police protection will now request well-armed personnel from the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps.
Many parts of Nigeria, especially remote areas, have few policemen at the stations, thus making the task of protecting and defending the people difficult.
In view of the current security challenges facing the country, President Tinubu is desirous of boosting police presence in all communities.
Already, President Tinubu has approved the recruitment of 30,000 additional police officers. The federal government is also collaborating with the states to upgrade police training facilities nationwide.
Sunday’s meeting was attended by the Chief of Army Staff, Lt General Waidi Shaibu; the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke; the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun; and the Director-General of the Department of State Services, Tosin Adeola Ajayi.

I had to rewatch this media chat to point out that the continuous drop in food prices and inflation rate is not a fluke. It is a result of economic policies.
“I don’t believe in price control… we continue to supply the market… the economic variables will work against anyone trying to hoard in this market…”
Everything he said in this chat. He did them!
Tinubu wanted a FREE market, aligned all of his economic policies in that direction and now, there’s a serious price competition going on. Again, governance is not rocket science!
“Dear Baba Obasanjo, I trust this meets you well.Your coming to my birthday party, I appreciate except for your very irresponsible comments at your age. You went so low but am not surprised because someone once said you are supposed be kept away in the zoo. Sincerely thats where you belong.
“I kept quiet or did not reply you at the function so that the world will know the difference between a sane and a mad man that you are. It is also obvious that you have also lost your sanity OR should I say is the heightened stage of dementia. Not to worry Baba., I shall set the records straight in due course of time.Lastly I shall appreciate if you return my money since you publicly admitted you received but Dangote brought u back.

I, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, Governor of Adamawa State, wish to categorically state that I dissociate myself from the position of expelling the Honourable Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, @GovWike , from @OfficialPDPNig (PDP). I believe that this decision is not in the best interest of the party, and I will not be party to any attempt that could further plunge the PDP into unending crisis.
As a faithful party member, my position is clear: I stand for the peace and stability of the PDP, and I will not support anything that could lead to its disintegration. I believe that peace and reconciliation are the only ways forward for our great party.
I urge all stakeholders to work towards healing the divisions within the party and to strive for unity and cohesion. As a party man, I am committed to supporting efforts that promote peace, stability, and progress within the PDP.
Let me reiterate that my position is guided by the desire for peace and reconciliation, and I will continue to work towards achieving this goal.

If Nigeria wants to learn, understand, and imbibe religious tolerance, then perhaps all leaders should undergo some orientation in the Southwest before being sworn in.
Right now, all Governors in the Southwest are Christian, including the Governor of Osun, which is the most Islamic state in Southern Nigeria. And most of these six Governors became Governors on the back of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, a Muslim.
Yet, have you heard of any agitation about religious domination by Muslims against Christians in the Southwest? Have there been even one killing because of this political order?
Before these sets of Governors, the class of Governors in the Southwest was mainly Muslim, including Raji Fashola in Lagos, Abiola Ajimobi in Oyo, Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun, and Rauf Aregbesola of Osun.
And when that happened, there were no cries of marginalisation by Southwest Christians.
What is important to the Lukumi Yorubas is ability, not spirituality.
And if the rest of Nigeria can learn from this, we would all be as politically and economically progressive as the people of the Southwest.

PRESS RELEASE
TROOPS RESCUE 86 KIDNAPPED VICTIMS, FOIL TERRORISTS’ AMBUSH AND ARREST 29 LOGISTICS SUPPLIERS IN BORNO
Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), Joint Task Force North East, have recorded another major success in the ongoing counter-terrorism and counter-insurgency operations in Borno State.
Troops of 135 Special Forces Battalion, under Sector 2 OPHK on 9 November 2025, encountered Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists at Dutse Kura after discovering that terrorists were abducting civilians and vehicles along the Buratai–Kamuya Road.
The troops thwarted the attack, pursued the terrorists towards Mangari, and overpowered them in a follow-up encounter near a camp, forcing the insurgents to flee in disarray. A search of the area led to the discovery of 11 makeshift terrorists’ structures and the rescue of 86 kidnapped victims comprising men, women, and children.
Items recovered include one AK-47 rifle, five magazines with 73 rounds, four PKT ammunition belts, five civilian vehicles, five motorcycles, eight bicycles, and two logistics tricycles. The terrorists’ camp was destroyed in situ after clearance operations. In a related operation, troops deployed at Mangada, arrested 29 terrorist logistics suppliers enroute Chilaria with several items. Recovered items include two pickup vans and a tricycle loaded with Premium Motor Spirit, about 1,000 litres of petrol in jerricans, four gallons of engine oil, two new gun truck tyres, huge cache of medical consumables, and large quantities of foodstuffs and provisions.
All operations were conducted successfully with no casualty on the part of own troops. The Military High Command commended the gallantry and professionalism of the troops while charging Operation HADIN KAI to sustain operations to deny terrorists freedom of action across the North East theatre.
