I'm gay. Yes, I'm gay, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that.

Being gay is one part of who I am, but it doesn't define the limits of my dreams, my character, my kindness, my strength, or my worth. I deserve to love, to be loved, to build a life, to have a family, to feel safe, and to exist openly without shame or apology.

To every gay man, lesbian, bisexual, transgender person, queer person, and anyone still finding the courage to understand themselves: you are not broken, you are not a mistake, and you do not have to become someone else to deserve respect.

Some of us grew up afraid to say these words. Some were bullied, rejected, judged, or taught to hide. Others are still living in places or families where being open can be difficult or dangerous. Wherever you are on your journey, remember that your life has value and your story matters.

I'm gay. Yes. And I'm proud of the person I've become.

May we continue creating a world where nobody has to whisper who they are, where love isn't treated as something shameful, and where everyone can live authentically, freely, and with dignity.

King Charles III has announced that the UK government plans to introduce legislation aimed at banning LGBTQ+ conversion practices in England and Wales. 🇬🇧

Supporters say the proposed law would help protect LGBTQ+ people from harmful attempts to change or suppress their sexual orientation or gender identity. The move adds to a growing global conversation about dignity, equality, freedom, and the right to live authentically without being subjected to practices that seek to change who you are.

We’ve been taught to accept violence as “normal” while affection between LGBTQ+ people is still treated as something controversial.

And it goes far beyond two men kissing.

A trans person simply existing openly.

A queer couple showing the same love and affection that straight couples express every day.

Love isn’t the problem.

If LGBTQ+ affection makes you more uncomfortable than violence does, maybe it’s worth asking yourself where that discomfort really comes from.

Love doesn’t hurt people. Hate does.
