@stomababe That comment drives me nuts. I have cerebral palsy that affects all 4 limbs, it doesn’t get in my way much. What really affects me are the 2 stomas that people can’t see or they think they’re easy to deal with… erm no!

Can anyone give some advice please. Whilst I was in hospital for surgery I asked the physio for a frame around the loo, so I can use it, I have Cerebral Palsy.

I rang the equipment company to chase things. It turns out a referral needs to done by the district nurse! 🤦‍♀️

@DoctorOstomy I believe that if your current colorectal surgeon does the referral then you may not go to the very bottom of the list. I think it depends on what’s written in the referral.

Hope that makes sense, I still feel quite anaestheticy 2 was post op, sorry x

@beffybadbelly I hear you, so much right now! I’m in hosp post urostomy creation on 14/10, have had an ilea for 3 yrs. had my 1st ‘solid’ food jelly yday. Pt across from me asked if that was really the right choice for me, WTF

@beffybadbelly Hari & The Gang do some really nice T Shirts and hoodies. They don’t tend to catch a picc line when I’ve worn them with one in my arm.

@beffybadbelly I was with them I had issues too, not sending night/leg bags. I rang the pharmacy dispensary attached to my GP. They immediately switched me over to @Charter_UK who’ve been excellent. I’m England so process may be different in Wales.
