Viktor Frankl survived Auschwitz and came out with one of the most demanding truths ever written about human life: people can endure almost any suffering when they still believe their life has meaning.

He argued that meaning is found through work that serves something beyond the self, love that binds us to another person, and the courage to face suffering without letting it destroy the soul.

That is why modern life feels so empty for so many people. We keep chasing comfort, status, distraction, and endless pleasure, but none of those can answer the deeper question: What am I living for?

Frankl’s answer was hard, but freeing. Meaning is rarely handed to us. It is discovered through responsibility.

A person becomes stronger when he stops asking life to make him happy and starts asking what life is asking from him.

That shift can save a soul.
