Hello community,
You may have seen this week’s security news: a vulnerability in a PHP framework, plus security releases from Node.js and Next.js
Here’s where Confluence stands:
On the PHP vulnerability: Confluence isn’t affected.
There’s no PHP anywhere in our stack.
4️⃣ Added an extra guard to the API so it no longer accepts a type of request data that none of our clients use
Security is never “done”, and we won’t pretend it is. We’ll keep watching.
Bridge, swap and pay with USDC on Arc: https://t.co/WAI0UGzsJP
We do run on Node.js and Next.js, so we treated their updates as urgent.
The same day the patches were out, we:
1️⃣ Moved the API to the patched Node.js release
2️⃣ Updated all our sites to the patched Next.js version
3️⃣ Updated other packages that had published fixes
Pleased to announce that Confluence activities are now tracked and verifiable on DefiLlama, so anyone can see how the app is being used, day by day, on the same public dashboard the rest of DeFi uses.
Nothing changes in how you use it. Confluence never holds your funds or your keys, and you sign every step in your own wallet. you can also see the link to the dashboard on our landing page.

What’s tracked
1️⃣ Bridge volume: USDC moved through Circle CCTP plus cross-chain routes through Relay
2️⃣ Active wallets: wallets that completed a bridge, swap or payment
3️⃣ New wallets: first-time users each day

Abstract users, it's time to plan your exit.
Abstract is shutting down on December 15, and the announcement warns that funds left behind may become unrecoverable.
Don't wait until the last minute. Start moving your funds out now.
CCTP is expanding beyond USDC.
Developers can now enable crosschain transfers for supported Circle-issued assets, like EURC and cirBTC, and third-party assets using CCTP’s messaging infrastructure.
In this video, learn:
→ How CCTP supports more assets across blockchains
→ What this unlocks for developers
→ How to get started sending EURC over CCTP

2️⃣ Select Abstract as your source chain
3️⃣ Choose a supported destination chain
4️⃣ Check the available Relay route and fees
5️⃣ Confirm the details before bridging

Another step forward for Confluence
Confluence Swap adding cirBTC is an interesting development.
Users can now swap between USDC, EURC and Circle Wrapped Bitcoin across Arc and Ethereum, with on chain verification and a non custodial approach, all on arc mainnet
Making it easier to move between stablecoins and Bitcoin is another step toward a more connected on chain financial ecosystem.
