In a gesture of compassion and in solidarity with the victims of the #KarurStampede, the @INCIndia today distributed financial assistance to the families affected by the tragedy.

A total of ₹1,02,50,000 was disbursed, with ₹2,50,000 provided to each of the 41 bereaved families.

The initiative was led by the delegation of Congress General Secretary (Org.) Shri @kcvenugopalmp, along with AICC in-charge Tamil Nadu, Shri @girishgoaINC, TNCC President Shri @SPK_TNCC, CLP Leader Shri @MLARajeshKumar, MPs and senior leaders.

The Congress party stands with the grieving families during this difficult time.

LoP Rahul Gandhi has "adopted" nearly two dozen children who lost their parents in India-Pakistan conflict following April 22 Pahalgam terrorist attack.
