What does this say about the independence of our institutions?

Questions that demand answers:
❓ Why is the Election Commission behaving like a BJP stooge?
❓How did a political party’s seal appear on an official EC communication?
❓Who is accountable?
❓Can the Election Commission explain this to the people of India?

When institutions meant to safeguard democracy appear compromised, silence is not an option.

Jessica Shinde’s journey into politics did not begin with power it began with questions.

Coming from a minority Christian community in Maharashtra, she grew up observing the realities of discrimination, of “bhed-bhaav” and “uch-neech” that quietly shape people’s lives. These were not just ideas for her they were experiences that stayed with her, that disturbed her.

At one point, Jessica wanted to become a lecturer. A simple, stable path.

But life had other plans.

When she got the opportunity to join the Indian Youth Congress, something shifted. Her exposure to people, to ground realities, and to social issues deepened. Slowly, her inclination moved towards social work and eventually, towards politics.

What drew her in was not just participation, but ideology the belief in equality, representation, and justice.

Her journey took another turn when she became part of Shakti Abhiyan.
Here, she found something powerful a space where the lines of “high” and “low” began to disappear. A space where women, regardless of background, stood together.

Today, Jessica continues her journey with Shakti Abhiyan, standing firmly for women’s rights, and working towards a society where no one is judged by their identity.

This is not just a political journey.
It is a journey of awareness, courage, and choosing to stand up.

BJP सरकार द्वारा लाया गया Transgender Persons Amendment Bill, पूरे समुदाय के संवैधानिक अधिकारों और उनकी पहचान पर सीधा हमला है। यह कानून सुरक्षा देने के बजाय उन्हें और अधिक अपमानित करता है।

ये बिल Transgender लोगों के self-identification के अधिकार छीन रहा है, जो उच्चतम न्यायालय के ऐतिहासिक निर्णय ���ा उल्लंघन है।

ये देश भर में मौजूद अलग-अलग सांस्कृतिक पहचानों को खत्म करने का प्रयास करता है साथ ही Transgender व्यक्तियों को medical board के सामने अपमानजनक जांच के लिए मजबूर करता है।

ऐसा दमनकारी कानून जो बिना पर्याप्त सुरक्षा उपायों के आपराधिक सज़ा और निगरानी को बढ़ावा देता है। सबसे चिंताजनक बात यह है कि BJP सरकार ने इस बिल को लाने से पहले Transgender ��मुदाय से कोई संवाद और विमर्श नहीं किया।

हमारा संविधान हर नागरिक को जीवन, स्वतंत्रता, पहचान और गरिमा का अधिकार देता है। लेकिन BJP सरकार अपने संकीर्ण विचारों के चलते इन मूल्यों को कमजोर कर रही है और भारत की उस समृद्ध परंपरा को भी नुकसान पहुँचा रही है, जिसमें Transgender समुदाय को सम्मान दिया गया है।
