In England, top A-Level Students go to University to study Politics, Philosophy & Economics .. US, they go study Political Science & Law, in Kenya, all top Students choose Engineering & Medicine ... Is this the reason why UK & US are advanced Societies & Kenya is stuck at bottom?
The typical signs of narcissists & sociopaths:
+ never accountable
+ always deflecting or victimizing
Victimizing a billionaire in Africa as response to Kenyans asking for the terms of a deal with THEIR OWN PUBLIC MONEY AND LAND looks like what?
Oh, and the cruelty while laughing at our faces while using their power to abuse…
The kind of enormous knowledge that's here on @X
You'll get knowledgeable if you are able to distinguish between facts and propaganda
Such a great platform
Thank you @elonmusk
This is exactly what happened with Turkana Wind Power, GoK likes cushioning investors then Kenyans pick the tab and pay taxes through the nose. The agreement for Turkana Wind Power in the Kibaki regime, was that if it is complete and Kenya still can't absorb all the energy produced, they will still pay for the energy generated irrespective, the same with the Independent Power Producers(IPP) again under Kibaki, that power they generate whether used or not Kenya has to pay for it. Now there seems to be the same case with the Dangote thing, that they are planning for 700,000 barrels of oil per day, if they are able to produce only 50,000 barrels a day, Kenya will have to pay for the difference. This is literally selling the country kwa bei ya jioni ....

Show me where Sifuna opposed the refinery project, as Ruto keeps claiming. His position has been about transparency, Parliament should see the agreement and know the commitments Kenya has made for the project.
So why is the ruto turning a simple demand for transparency into a political fight? If the deal is in Kenya's interest, publish it and let Kenyans see what their government has agreed to. Nobody is opposing development. We are demanding to know the terms of the deal.
First of all you must work with what you have before mentioning 2050
I have a problem with the following statement unless you are operating on social sim card in your head. And I quote you:
"First they must be provided with a relevant resource then you can accuse them of not utilizing them"
Now which government world over provide from A to Z? It's like asking a farmer to go get a cow from the government so that he can milk and provide the government with milk so that government can sell milk and pay him for the milk. Omera this kind of thinking will make you wail 50 years to come.
Second quote:
There is no solid record of a Kibaki government fish processing plant in Thika as the counterpart to Kisumu. Thika’s food industry is the old Del Monte cannery and later private hatcheries, not a state fish factory built.
You Omeras have alternatively run down many like fisheries lile Afro Meat, Peche Foods, Fish Processors 2000, East African Sea Foods, and others. I may attribute this to stock falls and finance problems but as a Kikuyu from the Mountain I will lean more on finance problems juu mnapenda Kutesa! Pesa otas! There is no tomorrow for you guys the come blame Kikuyu from your financial misappropriations! Conrad you can do better.
And if Kibaki started anything it was more on Pond fish farming and has got nothing to do what is rightful yours. Comprendre?!
Why were we not having the same from Afro Meat, Peche Foods, Fish Processors 2000, East African Sea Foods and other until you drunk them out. Just like sugar firms? You overrate yourselves but when it comes to financial prudence you are total failures! Accept and move on!
Kisumu port is sitting on Lake Victoria. The MV is collecting dust. The airport is not moving value added exports Omera your elite cant even value add Tuna fish? SGR to the lake is being sold as a passenger line..yani Kubeba akina Owish and Atis Waende home. So what exactly are the Luo Nyanza projects producing for the taxpayer, revenue or ribbon cuttings za shiny things while you question Thika Rd?
Ruto in 2022: "Publish the SGR contract! Kenyans deserve full transparency on public deals!" — Team TangaTanga, 2022.
Ruto in 2022: "We cannot publish the details of the Lamu Dangote refinery deal." — Same team, 2026.
Politics in Kenya is the theater of the absurd!
Mid this year, Kenya Power came out vilifying wind and solar, saying that they would not sign new agreements with them anymore.
This week, they are opening a refinery whose back business is to supply 500MW of power to the grid.
When did they sign that PPA?
Did they just bypass the whole PPA process in the guise of a refinery?
And what signal is this sending to those who have been in the process for a while now, following the rules and waiting for approvals?
Kenya has an energy planning document, the LCPDP, which this government has ignored with sheer abandon.
And now we are staring at a power crisis in Kenya.
Ama that was the plan all along?
Drive us into a crisis so as to onboard your people’s power projects?
Because Kenyans deserve to know what is happening with our energy sector.
We cannot have one set of rules for those who have been patiently following the process, and another set of rules when it comes to projects with political connections.
Energy security cannot be built on opacity, selective processes and political convenience!
Follow the law, give us those documents we want to read, understand and interrogate everything! Kama hakuna kitu unaficha why should you be worried when empty heads want to read through important crucial documents!!
@ORPPKenya
We want our name today! Hatujawasahau!
On The @AlikoDangote East African Refinery, President @WilliamsRuto has no escape. We have the Constitutional threshold of disclosure that must be met, politics and brainless opposition aside. Let's stop triviasing national issues. This country is not his private property.
I think nobody is against development in this country. People simply want transparency and accountability and those are some of the hardest things to get from a government in Kenya.
The moment you ask questions about how a project is funded, who benefits, how much it costs, or how decisions are made, the narrative quickly changes suddenly to you are “against development.”
Demanding accountability is not opposing development. It is asking the government to explain what it is doing with public resources.
Headline:
Nigeria government’s stake in Dangote refinery reduced over non-payment, CEO tells paper.
That's right.
Nigeria signed a deal almost term-to-term similar to the one Kenya is signing with Dangote.
To acquire 20% of the subject refinery.
When it struggled to pay (deals done at midnight with zero feasibility or planning have little chance of success), Dangote cut the ownership immediately to 7.2%!
Oil rich Nigeria with a GDP two times bigger than Kenya's found itself between a rock and a hard place, and was taken to the cleaners by Dangote.
Not my opinion.
Read the article the government does not want you to see.

Requesting parliamentary oversight on a 2.2T public infrastructure deal is a constitutional duty (Art. 201), not extortion.
Calling Sifuna an "extortionist" for demanding transparency on the Lamu deal proves this regime fears scrutiny.
Having studied and practised in healthcare systems and digital health, I called this SHA "digital superhighway" what it is: a long con. This government, and the Ministry of Health in particular, is confused.
The only explanation is that a mythical "digital superhighway" was branded under SHA to milk the billions being thrown around (KSh 104 billion). It's like Medicare and Medicaid mysteriously morphing into a hospital information system. It's ridiculous.
Second, for the sake of interoperability, HMIS should be left to the private sector. Counties and hospitals should run their own systems, integrated into a national government platform through APIs. The government has no business forcing every health facility onto its own HMIS. It is not best placed to provide a robust and secure one.
When I say this government is riddled with incompetence, the evidence is out there for everyone to see. There was never a way SHA, a financing pillar, was going to deliver an HMIS. The digital superhighway was a scam and a mediocre pipe dream. They've now realised that, and the new announcements mean only one thing: more money.
Running a health ministry should be one of the easiest jobs in the world, because the blueprints and frameworks are universal.
This is why Kasongo must go home.
Something about that agreement doesn't add up. If public money is being committed to the project, Kenyans have every right to know the terms, the amount involved, the ownership structure, the obligations and what Kenya gets in return. There is no reason to hide the details from the people ultimately funding it.
Kasongo shouldn't try to create the impression that demanding the documents means opposing the refinery. Those are two completely different things. We can support the refinery, support investment in Lamu and still insist on full transparency. Show us the agreement!
The highest bidder( Dangote ) replaced Chivayo
He had to go
Connect it when Chivayo was denied entry into Harare state house when Dangote was there
Mkubwa had to pick a side and Chivayo had to go @IanECox
