Nalanda University revives the timeless tradition of Śāstrārtha through “Śāstrārtha 2026” as part of its Third Convocation celebrations. Rooted in the spirit of the ancient Nālandā Mahāvihāra, the two-day initiative brings together students, alumni, and scholars for rigorous intellectual dialogue across disciplines - from Buddhist Studies and Philosophy to International Relations and Ecology.
Guided by the principles of Pramāṇa, Tarka, and Śīla, the debates reaffirm that the pursuit of truth, dialogue, and deeper understanding remains central to Nalanda’s living academic tradition.

The worlds most popular politician.
India 🇮🇳 Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting Norway 18-19 May. While European leaders struggle to achieve 30% popularity in their own countries, Modi has an approval rating in India around 70. He is loved by most Indians.
I believe this is due to his own life story coming from the most modest background in Gujarat, the strength and ideology of his party and that he is leading India at a time of rapid economic development.
Western leaders should stop lecturing India and start being curious. They can learn a lot from Modi’s constant message about green growth. India is now the worlds third renewable nation.
I have written welcoming Modiji for Norwegian business daily Dagens Næringsliv. Here is the piece - in English.

Himachal govt installs a charging point in Manali for tourists to charge phones and gadgets, and within hours people turn it into a dustbin. No Swachh Bharat or any scheme can fix this nation, only an iron fist policy can bring change.
Adulting is realizing;
1. You will die, and most people won’t care after a while.
2. People use you until you’re no longer useful.
3. Most people secretly want you to fail.
4. One day you’ll wish you started today.
5. Most people fake happiness while dying inside.
6. No one is coming to save you.
7. You’ll be judged no matter what you do.
8. Your health is your greatest wealth.
9. Happiness is temporary—discipline is permanent.
10. Success takes longer than you think.
11. No one respects weakness, even if they sympathize.
12. Complaining changes nothing.
13. Not everyone you love will love you back.
14. Money won’t solve all your problems—but it solves most.
15. Social media lies to you every day.
16. You’re replaceable at your job.
17. Life is unfair—get used to it.
18. One day, you’ll run out of days.
19. Regret hurts more than failure.
20. Nobody cares about your excuses. Work harder
The earlier you understand this, the better and easier your life gets.

This morning, unexpectedly, a Sadhu whom I had met in Gangotri in 2001 came to my mind. I had written a chapter about him in “Thank you India – a German woman’s journey to the wisdom of yoga”.
In 2001, my life was in some turmoil. I had left my Guru and tried to get clarity. I stayed for 3 months in Gangotri.
The story of this Sadhu is inspiring. So I put it on my blog, since not many have read my book and hardly anyone knows about it any longer.
here it is👇pls click on link, not on the photo.

Showdown Over Kerala Story 2
BREAKING || Massive Anurag Kashyap vs Director Kamakhya
- Anurag Kashyap criticizes film, calls it ‘propaganda’
- Calls filmmaker 'Greedy man'
Articles, FIRs, victims, and court judgments show these incidents are real and widespread: Director Kamakhya Narayan Singh defends.
@ArpithaAja10359 shares more details with @HeenaGambhir.
Dear Anurag sir,
Propaganda!
Debate facts और data पर होनी चाहिए- न कि “bullshit”, “bootlicker” जैसे labels लगाकर discussion बंद कर देे पर।

I think it is absolutely unpardonable and I say this because in a democracy, dissent should be allowed, but this is absolutely crass..."
