@JayFratt They are working on a bipartisan substitute that addresses one of the controversial sections. But ultimately it is illegal for foreigners to influence elections. Everyone supports that.

@JayFratt There is a very long backstory behind this bill. The bill repeals a very silly requirement that was first created in 2020 and has accomplished nothing other than creating a very large administrative burden for campaign treasurers on both sides of the aisle. This is a good bill.

I’ve been a professional treasurer for four years and it is commonly understood that only Spokane and Seattle have special campaign finance rules. @AlyciaRamirez3 One possible solution which would prevent the address of the donor from remaining public would be to seek a reporting modification from the PDC. The name would still appear but the address would be redacted. PDC meets monthly to consider such requests.
