@NishigoriY@isfjcutebear Whatever you say. But I’m still going to be working and living here. Teaching English here. Not really going to change listening racists with inferiority complexes like you.
@NishigoriY@isfjcutebear Get fucked.
I live and work in Japan and have done for years. I pay taxes here. Zero foreigners…good luck with that.
It’ll never happen, and if somehow it does, the country will collapse faster than it is already.
@TheRealJamieKay Because a white Brit moving to Spain probably doesn’t get a ton of welfare from the Spanish government, and doesn’t tell the local people that he’s just as Spanish as the locals are.
@Benzou_Logical Encouraging women into careers, encouraging men not to help with family life, making life more expensive but not increasing the salary to match.
@isseicanada The majority of tourists in Kyoto are Japanese.
And from next year any people (foreign or Japanese) visiting Kyoto will have to pay more.
Kyoto made a huge mistake by ending the one day bus pass. Because now it takes foreigners longer to pay when they get off
@tokyo_feng Put some goddamn benches around then. It isn’t that hard. I’ve lived in Kyoto for 7 years and it baffles me that so many nice places just have absolutely no public benches.
@kigen2686@fluffydog_bow Saying one is Anglo Saxon isn’t racism or discrimination. It’s specifying a type of white person. A German person isn’t an Anglo Saxon. They are asking you to specify what type of (presumably) Asian you are.
@fluffydog_bow Being yelled at doesn’t equal racism. It depends on what was said. Being surrounded is bad, but also doesn’t equal racism. I’m not defending their behaviour, it’s terrible. But it’s not racism just because you are foreign.
@VqzxIl_ You aren’t very smart huh? Is a danjiri cart necessary for daily life? Is it important for families to use? No. Obviously not. They aren’t comparable.
You could have picked so many other things to compare it to, and you chose something that despite problems, is useful.
@anytutorai The positive side of this (for me) I guess is that it’ll be easier for foreign people to get permanent residency then as the new changes said the applicant must be earning above the average Japanese person.
@GuiGui155430699 Ok? And? Under the current law I’m entitled to whatever welfare I’m paying for. If that changes then fine. If someone doesn’t pay into the system then they shouldn’t be able to access it. But as someone paying tax in Japan, I think it’s fair I can use it sometimes.
@xiamuzairiben Being indirect and using euphemisms instead of just saying what you mean is incredibly rude in my opinion. Of course there’s a tactful way to refuse or reject something. But the way many Japanese people go about it is just ridiculous sometimes.
@GuiGui155430699 I don’t really care what the public think. The law says foreign people who pay into the system are allowed to use the system, which I think is fair. We can’t vote, but we should be able to use the pension system if we pay into it. Same as the health insurance.
@miranowhere Because they focus on working long hours instead of working hard and smart. Length of work and length of service is more important than creativity and ingenuity.
