“If you want to build a ship, don’t gather people together to collect wood and don’t assign them tasks and work, but rather, teach them to long for the endless immensity of the sea.” Antione de Saint-Exupéry via #KidsDeserveIt by @awelcome & @TechNinjaTodd
One of Denny Hamlin's crewmembers ran out an 18 flag - a combination of Kyle Busch's number at Joe Gibbs Racing and the 8 he ran in recent years - to Hamlin after the checkered flag.
Hamlin took the flag, turned backwards down the frontstretch, and then did his burnout before holding the flag aloft after he climbed out of his car in honor of his longtime teammate, who he now ties for ninth on NASCAR's all-time Cup wins list with 63.
Hamlin also made mention of Ned Jarrett, the original star driver of the No. 11, who passed away Thursday at the age of 93.
