@thedatabunny I’m not arguing with u dude! I’m just advising you. If you get your CCNP it doesn’t class you as some sort of expert engineer. It’s just letters.
@thedatabunny I think you’re placing too much emphasis on certs. I’ve seen CCNPs who are borderline useless and the best engineers I’ve worked with have no certs. CCNA vs CCNP is negligible imo. Experience and skills are what matter, not letters…

@roodmurat I’ve worked with many cyber engineers over the years and can always tell how weak they are when it comes to actual networking. Most are clueless but hide it well. I’d advise CCNA at a minimum if you want to work in Cyber.
@db_fink Not gonna lie but Jaguar/Land Rover are built and designed by what you would refer to as “retards”. I know they are a sweet looking car and plush interior etc but when you work on these you can see how bad every little detail is in these things. Get comfortable with that garage

As a “traditional” network engineer, I still work very little on or in the cloud. I’ve added some Direct Connect and built a few VPCs but that’s about it. Still finding it all a bit strange.

2: Day 1 Networking:
Use Claude Code to help build python scripts to test the foundations of your network. Building scripts is easy when you let the AI do the heavy lifting. Have a script return BGP peerings, interface stats, CRC errors, switchport vlan mappings etc.
5: Wireshark analysis (my favourite):
Upload a Wireshark capture to MS CoPilot and ask it to diagnose the problem you are having. Great way to quickly get an idea of the issue you are facing!
4: Advanced troubleshooting:
Not quite sure what is causing the slow downloads in a network? Ask grok to help troubleshoot your exact scenario and it can take you through a whole scenario of use cases which can help narrow it down for you. Great for newer engineers…
3: Day 2 Troubleshooting:
Junipers MIST AI uses machine learning to alert you to potential switch or router issues before they happen. Expect more tools like this in the near future.
