RWANDA
Chinese EV manufacturer Chery Automobile is expanding its African footprint and is now exploring Rwanda as a potential EV assembly location. This week, Chery executives met President Paul Kagame in Kigali to discuss a possible plant aligned with Rwanda’s e-mobility push. Rwanda would join Chery’s growing Africa network, including assembly in Egypt, production plans in South Africa, and emerging projects in Kenya and Uganda. The interest reflects confidence in Rwanda’s stability, pro-investment policies, and ambition to become a regional green mobility hub. #electricVehicles #EVs #GreenMobility #FactsOnRwanda

Rwanda is reportedly gaining the upper hand over South Africa in the race to host a Formula 1 Grand Prix
With high-level discussions progressing and ambitious plans for a state-of-the-art circuit near Bugesera Airport, Rwanda is positioning itself as a serious contender to bring Formula 1 back to Africa for the first time in decades.
The move reflects the country’s growing global profile, strong infrastructure drive, and commitment to hosting world-class events.
We are deeply saddened by the passing of our Managing Director, Mr. Patrick Nkulikiyimfura, on 12th April 2026.
A visionary leader, his impact on Akagera Aviation and Rwanda’s aviation industry was profound. Our thoughts are with his family. May he rest in peace.
“Whether here in the country, or outside, especially outside, there are those who have often distorted this history of ours for different reasons. They have a real challenge on their hands if they expect people to change history and tell it differently.
What I would say, as Theoneste said, is that times do change, and times have changed. No one will ever die again the way Theoneste was describing it, the way those who died perished, or even the way he himself died, because it was a form of death. The fact that he is here is a form of resurrection. No one will ever die again in this way.
You cannot kill a person twice. If you try, the person will kill you before you kill them. As we stand here before you, some people outside mock us and speak about us with contempt, but this whole country, this Rwanda you see before you, cannot die twice. Before you kill Rwanda, Rwanda will strike first. The way you see us here, we cannot die twice.
Whether it is us adults, or our younger generation, no one will kill them twice. It is impossible. It will not happen. We will live the way people are supposed to live, the way everyone else lives. And inevitably, we will not ask anyone for permission to live.” President Kagame | #Kwibuka32

“We must learn from past failures & protect the living — by rejecting hatred, inflammatory rhetoric & incitement to violence.”
