Clause 10 of the Medical Services Amendment Bill empowers the state to make regulations in respect of health care to be afforded to persons with chronic illnesses, persons over the age of seventy years and veterans of the War of Liberation and persons with disabilities

The Medical Services Amendment Bill is designed to align the Medical Services Act to the Constitution of Zimbabwe. The amendment takes into account section 83(b) which obligates the state to afford persons with disabilities with equal access to medical services.

Section 193 of the Criminal Procedure and Evidence Act which did not provide for an interpreter when someone who is Deaf is arrested was declared unconstitutional by Highcourt. The re-alignment of this clause is now underway through the Judicial Law Ammendment Bill
