מבקש להזכיר מספר עובדות ורקע אשר יתרמו פרופורציות והבנה בהקשר למאבקנו המדיני הנוכחי:

עד היום הכירו רוב מדינות העולם - 145 מדינות במדינה פלסטינית ��יקטיבית. מתוכן עשו זאת 136 לפני ה-7 באוקטובר ו-9 לאחריו.
הגל הראשון היה ב-1988, אחרי פרוץ האינתיפאדה הראשונה, כאשר יאסר עראפאת הכריז על ״עצמאות״. זה היה שנים לפני הסכמי אוסלו, בשעה שכתובת מגוריו היתה עדיין בתוניס.
בין המדינות שהכירו בעבר במדינה פלסטינית מצויות כמה מידידותיה הגדולות ביותר של ישראל בעולם ובהן הונגריה, ארגנטינה ופרגוואי.

המהלך הצרפתי-סעודי הנוכחי החל למעשה בהחלטה שאומצה בעצרת חירום של האו״ם בספטמבר 2024. דובר בה על כינוס ועידה בינלאומית במהלך העצרת ה-79׳(הנוכחית) ובחסותה, ליישום החלטות האו״ם העוסקות ב״סוגית פלסטין ופתרון שתי המדינות״.
החלטה נוספת שחזרה על הקריאה הנ״ל התקבלה בעצרת ��כללית בדצמבר 2024 והיא נקבה גם במועד (יוני 2025; המועד נדחה בשל המלחמה באיראן).

״פתרון שתי המדינות״ מופיע בהחלטות או״ם (הן החלטות מועצת הבטחון והן החלטות העצרת הכללית) החל מ-2002. זאת, כמובן, בנוסף להחלטת החלוקה המפורסמת של העצרת הכללית מ-1947.
בהחלטות מועצת הבטחון של האו״ם זה קרה - למשל - במהלך האינתיפאדה השניה, מפת הדרכים, ועידת אנאפוליס, מבצע ״עופרת יצוקה״ בעזה וגם במהלך המלחמה הנוכחית ״חרבות ברזל״. אני מעריך שהעצרת הכללית קיבלה במהלך השנים למעלה ממאה החלטות שונות שמתייחסות למה שמכונה ״פתרון שתי המדינות״.

בנוסף, החליטה העצרת הכללית לתת לפלסטין הוירטואלית מעמד של ״מדינה לא חברה״ עוד ב-2012.

אבל ב״ה מדינה פלסטינית לא קמה.

ראש הממשלה מנחם בגין ז״ל הבין היטב מדוע אסור שתהיה בארצנו הקטנה ריבונות זרה וצבא זר זולת צה״ל מערבית לירדן.
ה-7 באוקטובר המחיש בדיוק את הסכנה הביטחונית שבכך.

מזעזע אמנם שאחרי ה-7 באוקטובר מדינות נוספות מבקשות ללחוץ על ישראל להקים מדינה פלסטינית שתהיה פרס לחמאס. לפחות אצלן חלקן ניכר שמדובר בהחלטה פזיזה ולא שקולה, שמקורה בעיקר בשיקולים ובלחצים פוליטיים פנימיים.
זאת, בשעה שישראל עדיין נלחמת בעזה ושיש בה עדיין חטופים ישראלים. אותן מדינות גם יודעות היטב שהרשות הפלסטינית ממשיכה לממן טרור וממשיכה בהסתה נגד ישראל, כולל במערכת החינוך שלה.
אבל אין מדובר בפרדיגמה חדשה שנפלה עלינו מהשמים.

עבור מדינת ישראל מדובר בענין ביטחוני ואף קיומי מהמדרגה הראשונה. מדינה פלסטינית תהיה מדינת חמאס. היא תהיה המעוז הג׳יהאדיסטי הקדמי, מרחק קילומטרים ספורים ממרכזי האוכלוסיה שלנו, בהמשך המערכה נגד ישראל.
הסכר המשמעותי ביותר להקמת מדינה פלסטינית ממערב לירדן הוא ההתנגדות הרחבה בציבור הישראלי לכך. נחזק את רוח העם ונמשיך לה��בק בזירה המדינית גם בימים קשים נגד הקמת מדינת טרור פלסטינית בלב ארצנו.
