@AdamClayUGC not black and white. 100% depends on the front end communication/vibe and actual product or service. Luckily, good talent doesnt have to pick. they get both.
@karondekreates as a gear hound, questions like this haunt me daily. BUT, I still know plenty of people using only their iphone who are crushing it. So I decided that the second half of this year im just keeping it simple.
TIP: UGC B-roll voiceover? do yourself a favor and record it while recording the actual product spot. This prevents that HUGE change in voice tone or quality when switching to B-roll.

@betterwithalina i feel this. I'm in an older home. Not like a "cool era classic" home. But like an early 60's box lol
Every time I try to shoot I see something annoying.
@sanaya_space uhm, that's called ADHD (at least its a good chance)
Not being critical. That's my go to as someone who suffers executive function issues.
"Im 100% going to record 2 chapters of this audiobook. OR, I could reorganize meal plan for next 2 weeks and forget about that altogether.."
@jillfluence its like in those movies where you leave a contaminated environment and they place you in that air lock to decontaminate you before they let you into the better space. Gotta sit in it for a bit to maximize that new place.
Probably unpopular, but I truly hate the term "yapper".
It sounds:
Unimportant
Condescending
Belittling
Dismissive
That's not us.
Can we come up with something better?

@UgcLiaFrazier so true.
this is why I started to gamify invisible progress to make it visible every day. If they "count" then I'm all in. Been a huge help.
@UGCloudy sadly, proficiency in spotting scams and red flag buyers is about 30% of doing well in any freelance vertical these days. Just another thing to get good at :)
@ColleenUGC1 that means pretty soon you're going to smash that goal. One month soon you'll just be 30% higher for "no reason". But that reason is consistency. GO!
@BryceBrandyUGC man, someone told me like 4 years ago to get into UGC and I was just not camera ready in my head. I regret not starting sooner. But i'll catch up. Love the encouraging words!
Nice! It starts with courage. I'm learning that starting over as a creative is nowhere near as ominous as it actually feels. Stuff is so much easier today and there is an abundance of tutorials and free youtube content. It's really just putting one foot in front of the other until it all feels "normal".
@kylaugccreator over the years i've come to terms with the fact that my brain is an admin beast late in the evening. I've embraced it to help mornings.
