It's wild to me that UGC isn't taught in school. I have a whole advertising degree and never even heard about UGC until after graduation!
Love my school though 💞
I've decided to make it a point to study virality
I want to master and fully understand how and why videos go viral. To be able to watch a video and go "yup, that one's gonna go viral"
How I find brands to pitch: check who's running ads in my niche (Meta Ad Library & TikTok ads library), check if they've used creators before, skip anyone with no ad spend, send 2 concepts or a moodboard, not a generic "let's collab" email
Just locked in a deal with Uber Eats?! I just started taking UGC seriously & this happened in the first month. This is your sign to go all in on yourself!

"It feels like UGC is becoming so popular. Is it becoming too saturated?"
My honest opinion: NO.
UGC is a form of marketing. Brands and businesses will always need marketing and advertising
What do you think?
It's Sept, which means Q4 pitching season is open. Brands lock Nov/Dec calendars NOW
This week:
• pull past clients, easiest yes for a Q4 retainer
• have 2-3 holiday concepts ready
• pitch gift/self-care/NY brands, they plan 6-8wks out
What actually goes into a 30-sec UGC script: hook (0-3s), problem (3-10s), solution/product benefits (10-25s), CTA (25-30s)
Brands don't need "creative," they need someone who understands direct response marketing to structure content that converts.
How I plan a UGC shoot:
1) rewatch the brand's IG/TikTok for tone
2) write out hook options & script
3) make sure to focus on benefits not just features
4) film hook > problem > product > CTA
Filming in order helps streamline my editing process
"6 months can change your life"
Is what I've been hearing
And I 100% believe it
So, I'm taking that time frame and condensing it into two 90 day segments to hit my goals
By the end of the first 90 days, 2026 will be wrapping up and it'll be the perfect setup for the 90 days
