@RheaRipley_WWE As someone who also has Italian grandparents that migrated to Aus, the sacrifices that generation made to come over, during a period of uncertainty is absolutely crazy!
If you get a chance to visit long distance family you def should, speaking from experience anyway.
I don’t like to be overly critical but for the one time, just humor me.
The WWE product has mostly been in limbo for the past year. John Cena’s retirement was mostly horrible with some good moments sprinkled in, the WWE Title was booked horribly between Cody/Drew as they had Orton “teasing” his heel turn for two years, the tag division has taken an absolute nosedive since the Fraxiom/MCMG/Profits/Andrade & Fenix era, we have seen multiple championship reigns that have amounted to nothing
(Iyo Sky’s won the World Title and disappeared from TV, Tiffany Stratton’s title reign sucked, Jade Cargil’s title reign sucks, The New Day & Judgement Day had reigns where they barely defended their belts, Gunther’s World Title reign was used for a Jey Uso Mania Moment, Drew’s reign was pointless, Jey’s reign was pointless, Seth’s Vision run after WrestleMania 41 was boring and repetitive, Logan Paul’s US Title reign was pointless, etc you get the point.)
We’ve seen constant storylines that begin with huge, incredibly executed angles that then completely fall off right after or get dropped entirely (Gabe/Otis, New Day/Big E, Cena Heel Turn, etc.) They’ve put out numerous bad PLE’s, had multiple terrible WrestleMania builds this and last year, etc. To think that the answer to all of that was to go out and bury the guys who have ACTUALLY been working magic (Ilja/Melo) and that have reinvigorated the US Title scene, proving that you can put on incredible matches, get over with the crowd and tell incredibly immersive stories is so, so stupid man. All while simultaneously burying the Ilja/Melo storyline by blowing it off on a random Smackdown then having Sami beat Melo TWICE.
@Zashy120 WWE is trying to target a mainstream audience but they’re starting to forget the people who love wrestling.
I think in about 5-10 years time we will have nothing but celebrities and popular wrestlers going at it for the build up of future wrestlemania’s and that’s just sad.
@ringsidenews_ Everyone is calling the company out but can someone tell me what the point of this video even was? Yes the video isn’t bad but why record this?
I really hope wwe go down the direction of Sami doing the right thing but he actually gets rewarded for it rather than the typical “I gotta be selfish to win the title”
Nikki Bella believes that WWE lacks star power in the men's division and that too many will be retiring soon due to their age.
"The women’s division is incredible. No offense, I think the women’s division is better than the men’s division overall. For women, it’s the best ever because of the opportunities given.
"We need to build more stars overall, especially for the men. Especially seeing how many are going to be retiring soon. To lose AJ Styles so quickly. That was crazy sad. John [Cena] is gone. You look at some of the other top stars' ages and you’re like, ‘Oh wow."
